EU+US New 20 rogue

bflt123

Grandfathered
Besides all the warforged pieces, what are the best rings, trinkets, neck and cloak you can get?

Cloak would be the Lizardscale Cloak from Wailing Caverns, neck would be the honor neck from the ashenvale pvp quartermaster, trinkets would be an insignia and arena grand master and rings would be Ellos Band and an Argas ring. Ellos is from a Duskwood questline Argas is an easy quest located in Ashenvale also.

Although this info is mostly based on dueling and wpvp. In battlegrounds gear isnt a huge deal as long as you have full slots of the type of armor your character is meant to wear

sentinels medallion or heirloom neck, random bg crate ring blue+ellos/argas ring, inherited mark of tyranny OR arena grand master + inherited insignia
Also if u wanna be a dank rogue get ur hands on some thistle tea

neck - Scout's Medallion or Sentinel's Medallion
ring - Signet of Argas and blue bg ring
cloak - Tumultuous Cloak of the Bandit/ monkey
trinket - agm or the stamina heirlooms ..
this is what im wearing as f2p .. ofcourse you can use loom pieces if you have them
and if you want the little boost in bgs you can wear 2x The Rock as rings and the high ilvl neckpiece (not worth it imo)

The above mentioned is mostly right.

What spec are you rolling?

Gloomshroud and Ring of Precision are great to have, but you're in for a long farm (Usually).

I would recommend going assassination and picking up jagged wing slasher, really the only thing that matters when it comes to BGs.
I'm going to finish my F2P Rogue (been sitting around for ages doing nothing). I don't have a lot of experience with Rogues so was wondering if someone could confirm for me that if I go an Assassination Rogue, would the http://www.wowhead.com/item=133693/jagged-wing-slasher be better than a sword of similar speed? Does it matter whether you have a sword or dagger anymore for Assassination Rogues? And is it just the Main-Hand that requires a slower weapon?
Any help would be appreciated.

Because Mutilate requires 2 daggers you pretty much have to use daggers with assass. Weapon speed has a way bigger impact in the mainhand because your ability dmg depends on mainhand weapon speed mostly, in bgs. Not sure whether poison procs are still weapon speed dependent (faster being better) or if they have been normalised in Legion?

Unfortunately if it's your nelf rogue in sig that you have in mind, you'll have a hard time getting Jagged Wing Slasher as it's horde only (quest). Which sucks a bit cause assass/shadowstep is pretty fun. Outlaw is very capable though and has a ranged slow for things that want to run away, and those of us with au latency.

Thanks for the reply.
I was trying to look up the quest that awards the white dagger and there are a few slow white daggers but Horde only. That's a bit rough for Ally :(
Yes it is the Rogue in the sig. Wanna show him some love again now that my Vet's are all settled into Legion.
And the good ol' Aus latency. Gotta love playing a melee class with it :p

It's actually very easy to get on Alliance.

Just go to Ratchet, and then cross the border and avoid going near Org or Razor Hill.

I didn't run into any problems or a single enemy NPC doing it.

Nothing matters for pvp now, you only need to have something equipped in every slot(i.e. not letting any equipment slot empty); and weapon speeeeeeeeed, so you need Brushwood Blade. Also get Griftah masks only for swag - they are fully and easily obtainable without the need of help from a p2p, you only need someone to port you to Draenor or Pandaria(since there is a portal from Pandaria to Draenor in Timeless Isle ;)). I play as combat rogue, here is my rogue: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/aerie-peak/Rabbitman/simple

Thanks for the correction man, I just got it on a Worgen. Kinda makes sense as the quest giver is from Ratchet.

In bg tooltip says Mutilate went from 717 with ToV to 897 with Wing Slasher wooooot. :)

Brushwood actually sucks, for whatever reason. Lower damage and dps in BGs than similar weapons, including faster ones.

Yeah, I was very happy with how it performs! My only complaint is I cannot transmog it.
