Need help on making BIS 85 Ret

Here is my current armory:

Still trying to get Heroic DS pants.....

I have a few questions:
Haste/Mastery??? Should I keep my mastery gems or cut them for haste/refoge for haste?
Also what should I gem the DS shoulders and pants??

Personally I'd go for Haste > Mastery for overall benefit (Shorter cd's, faster heals etc, faster holy power).
As far as gemming goes, with cata gems having equal attributes as secondary stats, I think str is the way to go.
Also for pvp, I'm not sure about the Inquisition glyph, but I guess it's just preference!

Haste>crit>mastery, gems/reforge this way too. My char can be found below by clicking the "85 Paladin" link , replace the shoulders and legs for 410 t13, and youve got bis gear.

we are talking 85 right? is this for pvp or for pve? for max dps i have no idea but in pvp mastery-crit pallys are the ones shitting on ppl...

Actually I've noticed this bug for 6+months on the inquisition glyph...on armory it says, "Reduce the damage bonus of inquisition by 15% but increases its duration by 100%." But in game the glpyh of inquisition says, when you land a kb on an opponent that yields experience or honor, increase the duration of your inquisition by 30secs." So when I was a twink at 82, I would pretty much have inquisition up the whole time.

I am building this toon for bg's and arena...I've noticed however sometimes I have no attacks to cast so tempted to go haste to keep the pressure, especially in bg's. However for 85 arenas, it feels pretty bursty especially with those combat ks rogues...and thus I am leaning towards mastery for this situation....

Also for the DS shoulders and pants, what should I gem with the blue socket? Straight 50+strength, while losing that bonus +20 strength on shoulder??

Ahh ye forgot they changed that glyph and the armory isn't updated yet, nevermind!
Combat rogues can be countered if you work around KS (hop/bubble etc). I don't see how mastery over haste will help you do this personally.

As for the gem, go with a 25 str / <secondary stat> gem. The 5 str "loss" makes up for it.

If you wanna do any good arena you really have to go all out on mastery/crit. Best comb for 85 arenas is without doubt ret/disc. If you crit with hammer of wrath with your cd's up, its a oneshot. 95k hammer, 110k mastery. I am currently at 2556 rating on my warrior, playing warr/hpal, and i dropped 70 rating vs a ret/disc team, we didn't stand a chance.

hmmm i see hes stacking mastery gems....so would you say that armory is BIS for an arena setup?
I see he is using a different DS shoulder and using mastery gems vs strength.

100 mastery gives way more dmg than 50 strength. I dont know how much % mastery 100 gives, but im sure its more than 1%, and 50 strength does not increase your dmg by 1%. Go full out on mastery/crit, and you will kill everything when you have cd's up.
