Hello. I just signed up so i could post this bit of news.
I spent today doing the stuff to be able to do old version scholomance, this also is on the chain to be able to open old naxx. I was unsuccessfull at being able to do this as I am a vet FTP player, i think.
But i just did a timewalker run that popped live side and the portal you need to open to start the 5 minute timer opened and i threw in a strat water and the 5 min timer started.
this would be doable with lvl 11 fury wars as they could split up and clear the ziggurats and kill rivendare within the 5 mins and then zap the mob in the tunnel.
It makes me wish i could talk in world chat to form a group and get old nax opened up

Hold up. I’d sub to be able to run Naxx on a twink. Is this possible?

You won't be able to enter Naxx on a 20. If you could somehow get ported in, I'm pretty sure everything else would still outlevel you and kill you for being in the same general area.

What can be done is you can unlock old scholomance for various things from there, and completing the step that unlocks Naxx should also let you earn a currency used to buy various patterns without needing to fill a trinket slot with something that has no other purpose. Plus, it makes a special version of naxx with some extra profession goodies available for your higher level toons if you ever care to sub again.

Would one, theoretically, be able to get a group and run into the undead side, kill everything but rivendare, then do the portal with timer?

what the OP refers too, there is no cheesing it. other than you can clear everything on main gate side to the first gate (do not go thru it or into that opening) that goes to the zig/riv side

was soloable pre guardian druid nerfs with the ooze trink that seems to procs less. after you threw the water and started the timer this was easy to do, zig on the left first, then go back to zig on the right. did not take that path where the gates close with the rats that eat the timer.

if you do this with help, you still all go in main gate side. help goes to gate but not thru it. if you trigger magister to run to his spot prematurely before the water and timer starts you have blown the run

you will not be able to do this on TW version, do not believe you can do this on LFD unless maybe, everyone is on the same quest

not sure if this is still happening? after doing this and unlocking to the naxx gate. when my 20s try to use the service entrance theu get ported to main gate side. i tried over and over using other players too, what i discovered, i can now go thru the gate to do the zig/riv side that you went thri doing the time trial part of the quest line

i just unlocked old school naxx, it requires level 30 to enter (its basically wotlk naxx with extra drops and the secret vendor) and i also unlocked old school scholomance which still drops sets, ill report back with anything good i find in there

I actually subscribed for that few weeks ago, seems really fun to do. There is also old scarlet monastery but need hollows end to open it... Its fun in my humble view, there is some stuff to get, but most of it cost a lot for vendor mats.
Using DH for getting to the vendor in Nax makes things a lot easier, by the way and the places to jump to are difficult to see.
