even though the mounts are grey and say unavailable to my 10 druid, i am able to mount up on sea turtle!! awesome. i can use two turtles now! may work with others on f2p or something. i cannot put an icon of it into task bar though

yeah i think its a bug, on beta/ptr all my twinks got it, but live it says they dont meet requirements, i got a ticket in but the like a day wait on it. i can still use it on my 10 shaman cause it was in his action bars but if i remove the icon i cant replace it

Hey guys, this is the macro i used to create my Riding Turtle Icon. Idk if its legal because its a "script" but what the hey.
/script PickupSpell(30174)
This works for hidden spells as well, so replace the item/spell ID (in the case of riding turtle, its 30174).

Sea turtle and riding turtle are the exact same mount, only reskinned. The difference is in the item you use to learn the mount. The RT has no requirements, the ST requires that you have apprentice riding, which currently requires 20. It's not a bug exactly. It's just that Blizz are lazy. The RT also has the swim speed bonus and is considered an aquatic mount.
To fix this bug, they'd have to treat them as separate mounts with different stats, which is not something Blizz like to do. If you can reuse a model and make things as similar as possible, Blizz are all over it.
