I'm currently in the process of grinding out Defilers reputation, and as it isn't the most boring grind I have ever gone through, it may be one of the longest.


So.. this got me thinking, what is everybody's PERSONAL least favorite grind.

This includes any type of grind, whether it is a reputation, or a rare item, or even a rare mount. This is the thread to share where your angst lies.

(For the sake of the thread, lets keep it within the barriers of f2p. It can be any rep/mount/gear that is obtainable by f2p, no matter what expansion of content.)

This is not a thread meant to argue about which grind is the longest, hardest, and most boring. It's simply a thread to gauge the f2p communities least favorite grinds.

(I've been wanting to make some sort of contribution to the f2p community lately, so sorry if this something of this sort has been posted as a thread before, and also sorry for any weird formatting. )

Going after shadowfang is a fools errand, its not worth it

My most dreaded grind so far was to get +3 spi to 2 hander on my priest (white glow like crusaders) which has around the droprate of a swiftness pot recipe. I finally got it a few days ago, though and I love it

It was closer to 2 years actually :l a lot of people had trouble with that hats rng so it wasn't as frustrating as other things imo. Its just painful when youve been faithfully fishing for a year then see your bud fish at the contest for the first time and get it before the 25 fish achieve (sun this means you)

Fair enough, always good to have a goal I guess. I wouldn't mind assassins blade on my rogue

I haven't tried exotic stuff like GoC and I've put little time into farming rare pets like whelpings/oozelings

these are rough:
MtB
RoP (lately won greed roll on doomspike, seen every other zone drop. sick of party members who don't loot and nothing nearby is lootable by me)
running BFD over and over on multiple toons for the DMF crystal
agility recipe
getting exalted with race factions just to get mounts used to suck
getting spell power boa on mage/lock

LFH was bad for a long time, but I've had good luck lately
Have had good luck with Foreman's, MM, FotL, Darkweave. Redbeard though . . trying to get it for mog on my shaman. I haven't ever seen it on any of my toons.

but my vote goes to leveling. especially since I decided to increase my pet count. boring quests that are a lot like the rest of the quests i've done . . just to get the goblin pet . . that I won't even care about 10 minutes after I get it.

Yeah, though, grinding Defilers rep - feels like forever. My druid has to do ~150 more ABs to get there, but I don't even want the tabard. Used to think I wanted it on my hunter, but decided the WSG battle tabard looks better on her.

oh, more about pets - my druid and mage both got the mech squirrel schematic but they both already had LFH. hunter has engineering but I can't find the schematic, got LFH on her recently so I keep trying to get agi/squirrel. hopefully before dmf. I dunno, might end up having to level engi on mage/druid during dmf so I can get 4 tickets that I don't need. eh, at least I'll be able to mog LFH to goggles.
oh and of course my priest found the agi recipe in a chest
 
[MENTION=16316]Wih[/MENTION] Hell yeah, leatherworking is a total drag. My least favorite profession to level.
