MoP resto sham vs resto druid for healing and potential FC

Mcmurphy

Legend
Alright, I'm about to make a new character and am wondering what it should be.

I haven't seen many threads speculating the usefulness of the changes in MoP, but I'll put some down on the table for those who are not familiar with them. It's going to be either a shammy or druid for sure, I'm just wondering what you guys think is more worth it. I'm looking at this long term, I know there's a long time until the next expansion, but I don't think I'll use either much for the remainder of lolcataclysm.

These traits are subject to change:
Shaman talents-
Stone bulwark totem(think stoneclaw totem, starts with a shield absorbing more, then a recurring shield absorbing a lesser amount every 5 seconds; lasts 30 seconds or until the totem is destroyed; 1 min CD)
Astral shift(reduces damage taken by 50% and damage/healing done by 30% for 6 seconds, 2 min CD)
Nature's guardian(when your health is reduced below 30%, your maximum health is increased by 25% 30 sec CD)

Abilities I find are most useful(the utility looks amazing atm, they're like the hunter of healers)
Purge(dispel)
Wind shear(ranged interrupt)
Healing surge(pretty much the same as flash of light)
riptide(heals for an amount plus additional healing over time)
cleanse(removes curse and magic effects)
ghost wolf(30% increase to speed while active)
Flame shock(DoT, keeps stealth classes out of stealth)

Druid talents-
Feline swiftness(movement increased by 15%, passive)
Displacer beats(teleports forward, activating cat form and prowl, 3 min CD)
Wild charge(movement ability that varies by shapeshift, 15 sec CD->
caster form: flys to an ally's position
bear form: charge an enemy, rooting for 4 seconds
cat form: leap behond an enemy, dazing for 3 seconds
boomkin form: bound backward
travel form: leap forward 20 yards
aquatic form: increase swim speed by 200% for 5 seconds

Abilities I find are most useful(most mobile healer)
Forms(stealth(cat),large hp/armor increase(bear),movement increase(travel)
Moonfire(DoT)
Rejuvenation(HoT)
Regrowth(fast heal with a HoT followup)
Swiftmend(consumes a HoT and heals a large amount)
Entangling roots(Root ability)
Nourish(watered down heal, increased effect if you have HoTs on the target)

So, would you say shammy or druid as healer? Also I think it's important for a healer to be able to take up a role as FC if needbe; it looks like both of these specs have FC potential. Thanks

Shamans are going to be the most OP class at 19 once again like they were before Cataclysm.

I'm looking forward to it.

Indeed. I think I speak for the majority of the Shamans when I state that I can't wait!
