US Monk or Rogue for dps/burst?

legion did alot of changes that sorta nerfed BM-WW monks in 29. ironicly MW monks are now actually rather powerful in fights, etc. i even saw a MW monk 1 vs 1 against a disco in a BG, kill the disco which was rather surprizing.
many of the FOTM OP BM rollers in the bracket have rerolled into feral, O-rogue, aff-lock. disco. they probably don't see MW as a option for DPS and survival like a disco priest

So Outlaw rogue > Bm/WW monks?
There's also only one rogue in the top 50 2v2 arena list compared to like the 20 monks.. Doesn't that say something about which is more powerful?

Def Outlaw>bm. Bm monk is horrible now compared to what it was before the pre patch and outlaw rogues have so much cc and dmg you can't go wrong with them. WW has karma and rising sun kick going for it buts that's really all. Compared to the ranged stun, cheap shot, incap, sap and interrupts on a rogue it can't really compete. On the subject of the arena ladder, the arena ladders haven't been updated since wod. So the majority of the bm/ww monks up there are from before pre patch. Nobody really has the need to play skirms nowadays because either A) They don't drop crates like bgs do so you can't farm them for anything. or B) The quality of the games are bad because of the xp on/off merge. Or both. Also if you look at the top monks they're actually mw. So if you really really wanna play a monk, mw would be the way to go. Sry for the long post I'm really bored at work and have nothing else to do but stalk Xpoff.
Tldr; Outlaw is gonna be the stronger of the two.

Personally, I hated Outlaw spec. Assassination felt like how a Rogue is supposed to feel (just my opinion), all the poisons, cripple, bleed, cheap shot stun... they all work rather nicely to incapacitate a healer for a little bit and add preasure especially with Wound poison.
But I've seen some good Outlaw Rogues.

I've seen multiple posts on different threads and also heard from players in game that outlaw isn't as good as it may seem. In no way is it the new "moron" class, at least for 20s because I can't speak for 29s anymore I don't play 29 it might be a lot more powerful due to cheap shot and some other goodies but when it comes to 20s, outlaw rogue is strong but not op

I have 29 rogue/mage/feral/monk and ret.
I can say that rogue outside instanced PvP is broken af. They can kill sht in cheap shot/BtE, cuz BtE hits for 3k if crit.
Monks, they not that strong now. If both players same XP, rogue can just fck a MW monk in few hits, cuz of the stuns, kick etc.
Ret is really strong now aswell, flash of light healing for 2k and they hitting like truck and are hard to kill in the same time, only class im having good time killing rogues is my Ret and my fire mage.
Ww is nowhere as strong as it was before, same as BM.
So i suggest if u want to roll the op class of the month, go rogue or ret.
