Max Crit / Need Pointers.

I made a character and focused solely Crit to the best of my abilities, I noticed that I one shot most things, and dumped haste entirely. If I remove the speed boosts, I can get up to 58% crit by stacking other gear w/ gems that I have in the bank. It took me several months to build this character out, worked on him since Anniversary until he was finished. Thoughts or pointers? Currently at 53% crit, and max speed. I did farm for the rings w/ sockets from Hallows End, but I didn't get them. Will be doing that again this upcoming Hallows End for socket proc so I can throw in an additional crit

My thought was this, why focus on Haste when I can just make a dump-truck focus on crit and 1 shot everything anyway? During Anniversary everyone was focused on Haste / Crit, while I was literally 1 shotting it all.

I know there's a few improvements I can make, such as the shoulders, but I have not bothered to farm the IL 30 instead of the 24.

Any secondary stat above 30% receives a diminishing return penalty.
from 30% to 39%, there's a 10% penalty.
from 39% to 47%, there's a 20% penalty.
from 47% to 54%, there's a 30% penalty.
from 54% to 66%, there's a 40% penalty.
from 66% to 126%, there's a 50% penalty.

For fury warrior second tat weight of crit and haste is practically equal, with haste being just a tiny bit better.
Versa is slightly lower, but only because it requires 4 points per 1% instead of 3, like crit or haste.
So, by stacking a single stat above 30%, you're essentially reducing the effectiveness of your gear.

But none of this really matters, since a level 11 Fury one-shots everything anyway, even in starter gear xD

If you're stacking crit, it's criminal that you're not using https://www.wowhead.com/item=32640/tense-unstable-diamond
With Lorewalking being a thing, there's basically no excuse to not be using it.
Put it in https://www.wowhead.com/item=37182/helmet-of-the-constructor and you'll have +16 crit from it.

But there's two considerations when it comes to this sort of thing: Break points and overkill. For my Evoker there's a break point in where Azure Strike will or will not one-shot mobs, so I drop some haste/crit for versatility/mastery so that I meet the minimum threshold. Now since I've met the one-shot requirement, crits will not contribute at all to the speed at which my Evoker can kill things; because if I crit something I one-shot anyways that's just overkill damage that's wasted. So in that scenario increasing my haste is way more important increasing crit.

With warriors crit and haste end up being mostly equal due to how whirlwind works: A lot of tiny hits, so any damage spikes from crits tend to even out.

Don't I require someone to assist me for the Apexis Shards for that? Thanks for the reply btw.

You think I should run 30% crit, 30% Haste instead? Would that be OP?

Use what feels better to play with. After having 20-30% haste on a lot of my characters using a character with 0-10% haste feels absolutely awful.

I noticed that i lose 3 str with that helm / gem combo. I prefer to keep the 1% loss in Crit, but the high Str

That's your current helm, and that's the one I have.

If you socket the one I have with +3 str gems the final stats on it is going to be:
+10 Str
+16 Crit

Which is higher by a fair bit than
+6 Str
+13 Crit

Unless you're talking about

Which if gemmed with three 3 Str gems you get
+14 Str
+4 Crit

Incidentally 1 point of Str is worth roughly 2 points of a secondary. So the values of gemmed helms (in order shown normalized as Str) is going to be around 18, 12.5, 16.

I don't think you should. Fury warrior with some gear already OP. Why change if you're comfortable with your stats? You can't one-shot something twice xD
Right now you're the one and only Warrior with a 53% crit, but you'll become just a standard 30/30 or so. I think with low-level characters, you just set your own goals for gear and try to achieve them.

Valid points, I'll look into getting one of these helmets. Thank you.

Sorry for necro this, but, how do Lorewalking work regarding apexis shards? It's a feature that I barely paid atention.

EDIT: Nevermind, just talk with cho, enter the mode but dont press any scenario, go to ogri'la, profit, geez; who coded this? thank you!
