Making a F2P Monk

For some people it won't let them create a monk on their account. The problem is, you have an older f2p account so it won't actually allow you to create one, because you'll be on the "old" battlechest. The solution for this problem would be to add another account to your current f2p battle.net account.

1. You'll have to find a p2p friend. (I can do it just send me a message on here!)
2. It'll send you an email. Click the link, make sure you're signed into the bnet account that you want the new account on.
3. It'll add another account to your current battle.net account.
4. Log onto the new account at least once.
5. On your old account, you should be able to access Pandaria, and create your own Monk.
6 (optional). You can send in a ticket to a GM to delete your "new" account, and your older account you will still be able to create monks and access the Pandaren zone.

I dont think you can merge 2 trials together.

Sadly, you can't recruit a friend on a trial account or else it'd make this process a whole lot easier :/

You can make a brand new trial account, which has monks enabled, and link it under the same bnet license as your original trial account. Meaning you'd have 2 trial accounts with everything shared across both.

I just tried EU.

I have a battlenet with the main frozen, 3 starter (2 EU, 1 US).

I was able to create a monk on the US starter. But not able with the 2 EU accounts.

The US starter is the oldest starter (since beginning of f2p unlimited).

Can anyone confirm creating Monks in EU?

tried on my EU accounts:

- EU starter account alone (2 years old): YES
- P2P account (frozen) with starter account: NO

So it works on EU, yes. It's still buggy though.

I think i will create a new starter later to check if that works

On the "not working" accounts it says "needs mop" when you want to create a monk. Maybe this will be fixed later

Yes this is probably a bug, where starters linked to a p2p account are not updated to MOP.

Nah, dont think it depends on you're linked or not. My US starter linked works with creating monks. I think it has more to do with the date
of creation of the starter account.

My f2p account is an old one. I have also an account created with the mop 10 free days (this account is inactive since the end of the 10days).
Do you think i will be able to create a monk if i just connect myself on this "p2p" account ?

Try creating a second account, linked to your old one. That seems to be working for everyone else atleast. Log into it atleast once, and then try on your older account to make one.
