Correct me if I am wrong but it doesn't look like we can get the 50 coins needed to buy this.
We have 59 Elders on Kalimdor, and Eastern Kingdoms. Northrend is unreachable to F2P. There are none in Outland.
Now subtract 3 for opposing faction only, 6 in dungeons that we cannot get into, and 9 in Cataclysm zones. This leaves only 41 obtainable, maybe some of the Cata zone ones we can get but I doubt we could reach all of them, Biel'aran Ridge for example.
Please tell me I am wrong..

48 obtainable two stones away from the vanity pet. Q__Q
edit: are the other items transmoggable? might atleast get something out of it.
edit#2 are alliance elders alliance only. I will be corpse hopping to see if they are ally only. If someone can tell for sure before i waste 1 hour.

I haven't done these hordeside, but the horde elders were doable by ally, so I assume horde can do the ally ones. It's going to be a huge pain solo. Fortunately I bubbled and the guards can't touch me. Not sure about the TM options. Being white and statless I am assuming not. I will have the 50 achieve soon. I got flown to some and soloed the rest.

It's a blue or red lantern. Personally, I took the achievement points. It's possible to get 51 coins as F2P. You can either buy the novelty stuff and the achievement or get the pet. Since I'm not that into pets, other than for the achievements associated with them, and this particular pet doesn't really interest me that much, I decided not to get it. Like I said, there's always next year.

Salve ! ... I just got my 50 Coins ... In the end I chose the Festive Black Pant Suit . I got all the coins by myself... ( except Elder Evershade from Nordrassil - I got the flypath there with the help of a friend before the Lunar Festival ) with ****loads of dyieng ...

Capped at 49 coins. Because of the Ashenvale g/y issue, you only get one death in Hyjal.
I have read that if you get far enough in to Hyjal before dying, you'll get a Hyjal graveyard. I've made it to the north tip of the lake around the Gates of Sothann and suicided in the Seat of the Chosen, but no luck so far.

...spent one hour in Org last night looking for a ride/summons to Hyjal...almost had a couple bites, but no luck. Pretty sure I can get it done Fri or Sat when there's more people on and I'm on later at night. Persistence, patience, and courtesy are they keys to getting a lift to Hyjal.
It took me over an hour to get the one coin out of IF and much more than that to get the one out of Vashj'ir, so sitting around Org for 2 hours for 2 coins is pretty on-par when you compare it. The only real difference is that you actually have to use social skills for the Hyjal coins.

Highly recommend just trying to get a 85's attention in your major city. Or find a P2P lowbie who can help you whisper a 85 to give you a summons to Hyjal.
With the gy bug, there really is no way you're going to make it to either elder in Hyjal as a solo effort. It's just going to end up with a lot of wasted time in futile corpse running.
