Linking f2p to p2p?

im considering linking my f2p to my p2p for the new xpac but i have no clue on how to go about doing this
. i know there is probably a guide on it somewhere but im dumb and can't find it

You can ask a GM to do it for you, that's what i did =).

Actually if you log into your Battle.net account, click on Account at the top and then be in the Summary section, there's a link on the right hand side that says "Merge a World of Warcraft Account".

I did it even if the names on the battle.net accounts didn't match. I've talked to a GM and put him verify the IP addresses I was logging on both accounts to verify my identity.

lucky u. they rejected my ticket just because accs had different not real names.

You cant merge 2 battle net acc this way. GM is the only way to go.

While I'm not surprised you found a gm that would agree to that, I can see it not working for every time. Changing the names to match would probably increase your chance if trying to ticket for it.

As it has already been mentioned this doesn't work if the trial account has its own battle account. It will only work to merge older world of warcraft accounts that are not already part of a battle account.

Ticketing a GM has worked for many people and I'm sure it would for you as well. The other option is just to call blizzard support, took about 15 minutes on hold followed by a 2 minute conversation with a representative in which all that was required was to read off the code from one of the wow disks, the upgrade code sent to you if done online, to prove that the full account was mine. Login and password was enough verification for the trial account.

One thing to note, while mounts will be shared across both accounts, and any new ones created under the battle account. Battle pets available come from the main full account so any battle pets picked up on your trial will no longer be available even on the toon which originally received it. This can be ticketed, or cleared up in the same phone call that merges the accounts. As for tittles and tabards, I was told that like mounts they should be shared both ways after the accounts are linked, unfortunately as I did not have any on my trial that the account I was linking to didn't already have I cannot verify that this works correctly, though I would assume this can be cleared up with a ticket or call like the battle pets.

Good luck merging them, I hope it works out well

OK cool, thank you for the clarification both of you. The situation you just described is exactly what my situation was. So it will only work for that. Cheers!

Well the names don't match. looks like im screwed unless i could get a name change through a ticket?

Not necessarily, I would give Billing Services a call @ 1-800-592-5499. If you can remember your secret questions to both accounts, that could really help. If you named your account Phoney McRingring, and gave an address like 123 Fake St., and can't remember any of the details of your account, they still maybe able to help by doing something like verifying your IP, like the gentleman above said.

I can not understate the importance of being nice on the phone (a great opportunity for us basement dwellers to practice our social graces), and above of all when dealing with Blizzard as a f2p: try to give the impression that you may give them money some day.

While it has been mentioned that the names do not NEED to match it would certainly be helpful if you are not calling directly. I still would highly suggest it as I have found it to be quicker and require less back and forth, as I said in a previous post all that was needed was a single disk code and the login info of the trial

However if you are set on not calling you still can make things easier for yourself.

Log the account that has the incorrect name
under account summary there is the option to edit the email address
change that to match the other account if possible.

Go to contact and shipping address under settings
Edit all you can under contact address to match other account
Edit shipping address as well, you can change this name to match

Email billing@blizzard.com from the email contact of the account asking that they merge the two and citing the shipping name as the corrected contact information

Once again, good luck
I hope it works out

i changed the shipping info so both accounts are identical . only difference is contact names. i sent a ticket saying i want two of my bnet accounts combined into one email and to verify the ips and to send confirmation messages to both emails to verify it is me. i hope this works

You will need a scan from you ID also. At least.. I needed that.

like send my id to blizzard? nty. i wouldn't trust my own mother with my id. there has got to be a way other than sending my id to blizz
. besides the names on my accounts are completely fake, i didn't think it mattered back when i made em

I dont know about all of the other suggestions. But i just gave them my addresses for each account and that was that. Didnt need to verify IP addresses, or send them a scan of my ID. The whole thing probably took 10 minutes if that.

was this accomplished through a ticket?
