In Cataclysm and MoP I've kept a level 1 of every class in order to be as knowledgeable as possible about the entire level 1 scene. I did this because it seemed like we had a lot of level 1 rogues and hunters that were experts, a few pallies/locks/shaman as well...but the other classes were underrepresented.
What I've found lately is that I don't have time or the ability to keep track of all of them! So, here's what I'm proposing to the level 1 community.
What if we had a sticky guide that was "approved by xxxxx" where xxxxx was a respected/trusted level 1 twink of that class. Think Icy Veins guides meets old school Elitist Jerks "ask a class" forums. My thought would be to remake the Level 1 Race/Class compendium with brief guides of each class with a "reviewed by" tag each patch by that "master level 1 twink", or an individual class sticky guide.
Here's the thing...we all take extended breaks from playing level 1s, so the masters would probably change patch to patch/expansion to expansion...
So here is the tough part...how do we pick the "masters"? I'm assuming there will be some competition of sorts for the standard classes, but it will be pretty thin for the non-standard classes (does anyone play a level 1druid???). Let's try this by sending me a PM if you'd like to represent a certain class (to avoid "I'm better than you" posts) and I'll send you a guide format that we can add.
Maybe this works, maybe it doesn't. Post your thoughts/concerns/improvements here. The whole reason is just to make level 1 twinking a little friendlier to new people and help expand our knowledge base.
