Level 1 equipment after Midnight Pre-Patch 12.0

Hello there fellows,

what is your current approach for equipment on level 1? All of my equipment I farmed with a level 10 in the past from treasures and forwarded via war band bank, require now level 6.
The only stuff I can still wear is quest stuff. Tested farming in Westfall, but droped grey/white/green items are level 5 that require character level 3. Tested Northshire: dropped a Billy Club item level 4 required level 2 from a level 1 mob. So I just realised: Items don't scale anymore. Does this mean, quest items are now best in slot?

my lvl1 'mysterious' epics are squished to ilvl7 today, but left without any requirements.
i farmed a full set of them (except trinkets) from bags like Pristine Mysterious Satchel during the Winds of Mysterious Fortune event.

my level 1s had ilvl 42 average, my love in the air neck is now 4, all my other gear is now 16. stats appear the same except tanaan trinks some went up by +1. the mobs that were scaled at 10, i could kill before, now i get them around half HP and i die

This event will most likely start on 27th January 26 again (in 5 days ref.: your second link). I will give it a try. Is it just killing random level 10s? Or do I need to find rares or do I have to do quests for this (I already finished all quests in all zones)?

I do see that all your equipment is still "wearable". How did you manage to get so many blue stuff that you are still alowed to wear?

My lvl 1 hunter has nearly full timewalking gear. Before the patch I could easily kill lvl10. No change anymore. I can't even one shot lvl1 mobs anymore.

i think , 99% of the lvl 1s are Subbed

So, how did you brought your level 1 to Draenor? Port with two people?
How did you "loots trades to level 1"? Are you free to play account?

weird things happen in WOW and things change, i was able to use the ashran portal from there i was flown to tanaan. high levels are usually in current time, i take it my 1 was auto put in current time when created. my acct is DF capped currently unsubbed vet, but i was on free time when i got my gear.

speaking of weird, i was mousing over portals and the portal to founders point was usable, i was ported to alliance housing area, able to access decor vendors, picked up two quest, found a vendor that with axe i was able to use for find lumber ability, so far have found no wood in the area

found a lot for sale, says i can't buy a house in this neighborhood

portals have moved around, portals i could previously use now i can't, only other active ones for are belamuth and valdrakken

the tanaan gear was once level 10 twink gear at the time right at or prior to when we started getting the high ilvl WOD epics gear procs. some 10s still have or farm a set as back up gear or gear to start with.
