Blizzard is not out here closely monitoring your creative use of mechanics

Just don’t do anything in a random dungeon finder, BG or open world that will get mass reported by people who don’t understand

Ive been reading about success using the Legacy loot trick (have a higher level character run the dungeon farm with twink) for more loot drops; however I've read it can result in ban from Blizzard. Is this true?

TO my knowledge, this will not get you banned.
Running scripts to automate multi-boxing will.
So, just as long as you're alt-tabbing you'll be fine.

Does the level 80 have to be the same class as me? For example Mage - for cloth loot?

Legacy loot by definition means that the loot table is opened to all available loot for each boss

So no. It can be any class. Also doesn’t have to be lv 80. Just has to be like 11+ levels over the instance cap.
