This Guide will cover the "basics" of Keybinding
*This is intended for players that are new to keybinding*
What is Keybinding?
Keybinding is assigning a ability, spell, macro, item or function to specific button. Wow by default already has a variety of functions already bound to specific keys, an example is "spacebar" for jumping. The majority of players are used to hitting the spacebar to jump, if you can do this...then you can learn to use keybinds!
Why should I not click?
A lot of people say that they can click as fast as someone else pushing a button. But consider this:
Imagine that instead of hitting the spacebar to jump, you clicked it instead... It is not a large time/reaction difference, but it would be enough to miss some jumps.
Consider then the time you may be losing by clicking. That healer that is using a 1.5 second cast? By keybinding your interrupt, you have improved your chances of both interrupting their spell and improved the probability of avoiding a fake cast.
It is also difficult to "mouseturn" while clicking.
What should I keybind to?
Every person has different hand sizes, dexterity and range. It really comes down to your personal preference. If you are just learning how to keybind, start with a key you can easily reach.
Keyboard - You can bind to any key on your keyboard.
Mouse - You can bind to any mouse button and your scroll wheel.
Other Options - There are stand alone keypads designed for gamers that you can use.
How to do it
1. Decide which key you want to bind
2. Go into 'keybinding" in your WoW interface
3. Scroll down until you have found what you wish to keybind
4. Click on it, then press the button you are binding
5. Ensure the ability you wanted to bind is in the correct slot on your UI
*There are two columns, you can leave the default and use the second column for your new bind if you wish. The bind in the first column is the one that will show on your UI.
*At the top, there is an option to make the bindings character specific. This leaves leaves the option to use the same bindings on all of your toons, or using different ones on each toon.
Now practice using that button. It will take a little time but just like your spacebar, eventually it will become reflex.
I ran out of keys
You may run out of keys you can easily reach. You can add a modifier to the keys you already use. Shift, Ctrl and Alt are often used as most people can easily reach them with their pinkie finger. In order to set it up, use the same steps listed above. When you get to step "4", simply hold down the modifier key and the button you are binding. An example is Shift+Mousewheel Down.
Not all of my mouse buttons will work!
Some of us love our mouse! WoW will not always recognize all of your mouse buttons. If you are using a gaming mouse, they often come with software that can be used to assign a keystroke to the buttons. If you have a non-gaming mouse, some operating systems will allow you to remap your mouse buttons.
Here is a Video to show you how to keybind.

I would not try to keybind all of your abilities at once. Try one to two at a time, as they become reflex, then slowly add more. Don't get dismayed if it does not feel natural right away..just remember that you already use keys and this is just a matter of learning a few more.
