    • So considering TBC will most likely be anounced for Classic, are there any items that you would recommend getting on your twinks? Atm I have a 19 druid, pala and hunter. All on alliance

    Even if you may not find them useful for now, then you got to note it has a really high item level and therefore you're able to put powerful TBC enchants on them that are normally BiS for lvl 70's. Like

    fyi all the dungeon items listed can still be grabbed in tbc, but probably most useful to get them now, also worth noting that Assassin's Blade and Shadowfang and other rare items from SFK get much lower drop chances because of level changes in sfk, making them even more rare. If you want to get 2 Shadowfangs to dual wield it would be wise to grab them now instead of later. only real thing you have to do before tbc is get naxx chants on serpents, so make sure you have the chant of your choice!
     
    Now that its offical. Tbc ia coming. I cant say anything else.. Fish my doods.. fish. Lucky fishing hat etc will be hard to get for next year or so after tbc hits. Now its silent.
    Edit: Also, if you want to spend some g. Buy panic sale enchants from nax.

    tail spike gets like 4 str 3 agi sooooo even scouts blade or face smasher still better, tail spike gives no stam
     
    if you're lacking a class you possibly wanna twink in tbc, make it and gear it up in vanilla as TBC is launching with 2.4.3 patch which means the exp nerf that happened in 2.3 will be on release

    as far as we know from experiences when 2.3 went live on retail and no known claims of dinging upon logging in, the exp nerf will work on percentage (99% until 20 in vanilla will equate to 99% until 20 in tbc) so it's fine if your current twink is above 19300 exp currently

    better off getting your quest rewards in vanilla incase 2.3+ makes it impossible to get all the quest items if you were to level fresh on tbc

    probably worded this post confusingly but it should get the point across regardless x
     
    Does anyone know if these change on prepatch? A friend and I might've fucked up as we wanted spell power shoulders for our space goat shamans. He already paid for them..

    As with any prepatch, prepatch = the new expansion.

    So yes all the items listed, and anything else changing will change the day of the prepatch. (unless blizzard fucks up somehow, which honestly isn't unlikely granted that they are a small indie company)
     
    FYI it looks like the new best in slot sword is changing!!


    Shadowfang becomes one-handed, but loses all it's bonus Shadow damage. With it's 2.7 attack speed, which mean lower proc rate per swing for enchants and lower burst damage. It drops from best to top 10.

    Butcher's Slicer looks like the new king of swords!! It has an impressively slow attack speed of 2.9, the same base damage range as the Cruel Barb and good useable stats.


    Some may contend Cruel Barb over Butcher's Slicer, 2.8 attack speed, same damage range, and 12 attack power. A solid sword to be sure!!     But I argue an extra 3.6% proc chance and front loaded damage per swing swing is worth a good bit.

    For rogue stat comparison I treat Stam = AGI = 2 AP which means the Slicer is worth 5 main stat points and the Cruel Barb is worth 6, a slightly loss for a very nice front loading and SS proc boost!

    For Warriors and Paladins there just isn't a contest 8 AP + 3 Stamina > 12 AP.
