Is anyone playing rogue? What are y'all doing?

I love outlaw rogues, and I kind of want to jump in and run around on a souped-up level 20 outlaw rogue. But... All I can really see to do nowadays is solo dungeons, and I feel like rogue is probably one of the top three worst possible classes to do that on.

Are any of you guys out there maining a rogue? What are you doing with your time and twink?

I’m curious about this. Having the shadowlands gems for regen would probably be mandatory so you have a bit of sustain.

life runs some wargames that you try getting into and randoms do pop but they have 29's so be warned.

Yeah, you will need them to solo, my lvl 20 rogue can still sometimes die if I am not careful but I also dont have any timewalking gear on her.

Are you routinely soloing stuff on a 20 rogue Toskosa? Would you mind linking an armoury for me ... not copy, but emulate?

Keep in mind though my gear is out of date. I am missing some socket gear and I am not bis. I would check out the 20's armory page on these forums for other rogues as well if you are planning on building a set. Generally if you can get the chest from auch and the helm from questing you should be able to solo bosses without dying....usually.

I enjoy exploration, dungeons and even pvp when possible

Although there aren't as many battlegrounds as there used to be (13 years ago), there's quite a lot to do in pve with all the new quests and dungeons introduced over the last few years

Pick up the Toy Windmill trinket while you're at it. It makes stuff easier. Obviously it ain't optimal and has a slow CD of 15min, It can practically make encounters easier and solo stuff better. Rogues are hard to gear as a solo class, so take every opportunity you can.
I tried once to solo farm Necrowake's Rings, and suffice to say it wasn't an easy experience but the rush of adrenaline is amazing.

I do PvE content. Dungeons aren't that bad: fully geared you can clear mob groups with CDs, but you just stealth past them anyways. Ooze is required for bosses, only irritant is it not proccing before evasion runs out, but it's really not a big deal. I do dungeon clears for achievements & lore, and stealth lets me set my own pace and even stop to smell the roses.

Other than that you have the rest of the lvl20 WoW universe at your fingertips, and you 1-shot normal mobs when fully geared so you don't feel that underpowered if you ignore the 20 meta.

It's not. I clear bosses without ooze although ooze will make it faster.

My friends and I like to do dungeons in vendor trash gear on our 20s, and I'll usually take my Rogue for those runs. My dps is generally the worst, though I do bring some good utility like sap and kick. I have found that, at least at low (or nonexistent) gear levels, Assassination significantly outperforms Combat.

It is of course very important to get the most expensive vendor necklace and rings from Griftah and Harris Pilton in Shattrath.
