Interesting note about grandfathered items

Since Items like Jutebraid gloves and Inferno robe have been grandfathered, I PST'ed a few GM's to see if there was any way to get them.. Anyway on my 10th try or so I sweet talked one into giving the Jutebraid gloves to me, and he told me he tried but he couldn't even create them anymore due to the item creation system. So, in case anyone finds this interesting or settling, grandfathered items can't be created any more even through GM's.

They still have the same ItemID's on Wowhead, they weren't over-written by any of the new items so they can still be created using a GM Command.



I found it funny you actually fell for it.
 
I said due to the item creation system, just because the item ID's up doesn't mean you know it can't be created unless you're a GM. Anyway I'm just trying to help out with some more knowledge, believe who you want.

seeing as I had seal of wrynn restored on my priest a week ago. this is simply not true. sorry, GMs are notorious for making up cool sounding shit.
 
I have had one GM tell me that it is impossible to do what another has done for me before. It's their way of telling you to fuck off without getting a complaint.
 
Aight well given Rivfader's response I guess I just got screwed, I was just trying to help out with some info on the grandfathered items, sorry.
 
No need to be defensive, there is only one rule with GMs though. Given enough time and whining you can get whatever you want, this has been proven time and time again.

GMs can be very lazy sometimes when i tried to switch glacial stone for gutterblade a few GMs wouldn't but eventually i found that cool one that did it

I try this about once or more a day and have yet to come across a gm that is willing to give in. They try to spit out some BS to me which I throw back in their face. At that point I tell them to either escalate me to someone who can actually help me or to just give me a survey and be on their way.
