Interesting bug?

Ignore the name, it was an inside joke (I know it's spelled rogue)

And in case anyone cares I'll explain how this worked out for me.

my 64 rogues name is: Rougezillia, the difference between the names is the i after the two Ls
I haven't played this account for years, used a scroll of resurrect on it but it was hacked / locked so I had to call to get it fixed. I made a ticket for item restoration and he sent me a whole bunch of items

Including those two pieces of gear, along with other high level gear my higher level rogue had.

so I guess the gm didn't look at my characters just the names? I dunno. lol

Awesome! Doesn't seem like a bug. Seems the GM was too stupid to realize you are level 34 and those items are lvl 60-64 items. This is why WoW is failing lol. But nice items nonetheless. Throw some high level enchants on those! Also nice old school racing grips :D
 
do you benefit from the stats?

once i disconected while on my lvl1 bank toon and when i loged in i found a lvl24 shoulders equipped on me and its stats were red and had no benefit for my base stats.

Thanks, this guy used to be a 19 and 29 twink. I have a bad habit of leveling my twinks. I have a warrior with the super leet mace that looks like a skull, and This rogue has two shadowfangs on him, lol. Then again, they used to cost 300g and I never worried about it ha!

They are quest items so they have no level req.

yes QM have done what you are speaking of in various forms, remember the gnome you had the shirt (given to him by a GM) that killed all enemies in a xx-yard radius in WOTLK and got caught he was banned.

there was a player awhile back who popped a 19, GM moved all his gear to a level one who was able to equip all quest items which he posted a SS, he mentioned was warned that if he used them below the appropriate level and got reported... the player would be deleted and receive actions on the account.

it's easy to get inspected in a BG and get reported, happened with daggers in 19 bracket, bracer/glove socketing, satchel gear for higher levels, list goes on and on
