Interested in 80 Twinking

Hey guys. I've always been a low bracket twinker (mostly 19's), and I'm getting pretty tired of the same old bland stuff. I just had some general questions regarding 80 twinking and would appreciate your responses.

1. First of all, how popular is level 80 twinking? Is it a bracket that is pretty dead at this stage of the game or as popular as the 19's and 70's?

2. Secondly, does this bracket have one class that seems to be overwhelmingly more OP than the rest? For example a level 19 hunter twink seems to pull away as the most popular and it's debatable that it is the strongest out of all the classes in that bracket.

3. How is the gearing process for an 80 twink? Once I level to 80, how much work will I have to put in to be BiS?

4. I'm from the U.S, and I was curious if there are any specific U.S 80 twink servers? I know for the 19's Bleeding Hollow and Elune are the big ones.

5. Finally, I'm planning on twinking an 80 arms warrior. Are warriors desirable in this bracket? Are there any pieces of gear for an 80 arms warrior that are considered grandfathered or unobtainable at this point? I know in lower brackets they have a tough time because no in-combat charge and stuff like that.


I hope you guys can help out a possible 80 twink here and would appreciate all the help I could get.

It's much quieter than those two brackets (given that you picked the two most popular), so don't expect the queue times to be anywhere near as long (Bg queues are slow, but heroic dungeon queues aren't)

2. Secondly, does this bracket have one class that seems to be overwhelmingly more OP than the rest? For example a level 19 hunter twink seems to pull away as the most popular and it's debatable that it is the strongest out of all the classes in that bracket.

Mage. It's vastly superior to almost any other class, and only some can come close to it.

3. How is the gearing process for an 80 twink? Once I level to 80, how much work will I have to put in to be BiS?

It's about as easy as pugging ICC 25 HC, as most of the gear comes from there. If you choose a legendary user (and want to use said legendary), the process is dragged out a little more.

Korgath is the biggest I think, check the Guild recruitment forum for <Doesn't Like You>

Tier 2 wrathful weapons, event items, togc tribute items. The only stuff of note is the 272 capes, which are slightly better for warriors than the ICC/cata items, but it's very minor. Weapons aren't even worth it with whitefin axe and Shadowmourne available (Unless you want a lot of resilience, and at that point i suggest you go prot just to live). Warriors have it extremely hard in this bracket because their defensive cooldowns aren't very good vs burst damage.

A:I Would say its Not Dead.. they Get Arena and BG Pops.. and no Not as Popular are 19's and 70's

A:I Would say Mages stacking Mastery are Realy OP, Saying there is a Fire mage on my server that hits me over 30k.. and a frost mage hiting me over 40k

A:Very Easy, 1-2 Days, its mainly just Dungeon Gear and a few Greens

A:Of what i know, Dont take my Word, But kargath i know has a HUGE 80 twink comunnity of Alliance.. and i dont think horde has a Horde Populated Server.. im not sure tho

A:i think a 80 warrior would be fun.. and i dont think 80 twinking had Any GF'd Items..
