ilvl 44 artifact + wizard oil/weightstone vs ilvl 54

Anyone know what classes or specs specifically that would benefit greater with keeping the artifact under ilvl 50 for the wizard oil/weightstones?

Specifically for enhance? I was told keeping the artifact weapon under ilvl 50 was better due to the weightstones. Of course I'm not sure where to look to see concrete information to support this.

Is it possible to bring the artifact weapon higher than ilvl 44 from epic ranked relics from quest rewards but still keep it under 50?

Apologies if there is already another thread on this. Thanks.

I don't have an ilvl 44 to test, but if +5 ilvls = 16 more tooltip dmg then I'll just assume it also means -16 tooltip dmg. Which is 403. Stone added 27 dmg, which means a 44 with a stone would be 430. Slightly worse than a 54.

Now this could be off a bit and I'd say a 44 with a stone is certainly within margin of error (scaling, dmg not being linear with ilvl, etc) to being equal to a 54 in terms of dmg. Its possible, certainly. But even if it is, thats certainly not worth the 10 ilvls worth of stats. If you dont have a 49, then the best move is the 54.

For melee it’s more complicated because of how wep damage works.

for casters it’s easy. 54 over 44

Are you sure you accounted for the difference between 51 and 54 properly wrt to druids?

Anyone figure out whether ilvl 54 is better for hunters(Survival) or ilvl 44?

Same goes for warriors.

Glad people are working it out i raised it a while back but i don't have time to try and solve it right now.

Hey mate, I didn’t calculate the difference at all there is no need. I just used the tooltips.

Seven item levels difference between the i44 and i51 gave me around 30 extra damage.

Weight stone and minor mana oil on the i44 gave me around 114 extra damage.

It is not possible for the extra 3 ilvls to make up 80 or so more damage to compete let alone make the i54 better. (in random BGs)

war games/arena the i54 is better. Lucky for druid your Bear and Cat artifact is exactly the same so you can have both.

I literally posted the tool tips for MS in the second post on this thread...

Sorry - got distracted something else and by the fact that in his video(i watched it immediately) it says ilvl 54 throughout the video but its an ilvl 51 shown. I actually reached the same conclusion earlier but just wanted it validated in case i did something wrong somehow. The extra stats put it over the edge. Also i don't think i've ever used a weightstone on anything but a F2P - having to constantly use consumables means i'll have to resub in the future and i like to basically never do that.

Guess i need to commit to a hunter enchant. Do you know if people still use the +weapon damage/elemental force/2 hand agility and is there a preference at this point?

Also - just have to ask - do you have an opinion on ilvl 44 vs ilvl 54 for warriors? I'm assuming its the same as hunters - unless there is something weird i haven't accounted for? Going to slot some relics soon.

Hey, thanks for watching [emoji106]

I only used i54 in the title because that is what’s currently available to 98% of the community, everywhere elese it says i51.

The final order results will be the same. It’s not even close.

Edited numbers because they are irrelevant.

@fungchewuchi looked at this for the spriest:

tried on lvl10, unwrapped +7s still too high to place.
unwrapped +1s have the same effect, set to 54.

ppl were talkin bout leaving some at 44 to still use bwizoil, but for my spriestweap, i looked at tot gains mh+oh to 55 vs the oil and 55 came out better, so up i went. anyone come over any pitfalls or considerations so mistakes aren't made?

I see the conclusion for ferals. Anyone tested rogue specs/wpns yet, with sstones?

To get the ilvl 54 you must strictly follow the six outlined steps. But to answer your question, no.
Sorry, I guess I did the wrong question (my bad). I already have the weapon bound, but what you wrap is the relic before socketing it into the item, am I wrong? Ty for your answer =)
