Hunter pet's special abilities at level 20 questions?

I have a 20 Hunter and I've noticed some pets have abilities and some don't. For example, i caught a Bear in Goldshire and he has Growl and a 20% damage reduction shield. A Gorillia i caught only has a Growl and a Tiger i caught in Northern Strangleholrn has no Growl even. Is there a list of viable pets that get extra abilitues for 20s? I know about Petopia, but doesn't seem to be that useful here. Just looking for a few good pets that have something useful. Thank you.

they all have growl. the abilities that get put on the bars by default can be an odd mix. check the pet tab of the spell list window.

separately, there's abities that they get as they level, and without looking things up right now i think only cunning pets we get the 1st spec ability from? or is it tenacity pets? i forget, just 1 of the 3 anyway. some pets we get an additional cosmetic thing like doaflip. tenacity some pets we get an additional defensive spell but not all tenacities do.

Shit, i forgot pets had a tab in the abilities section. You're right. Just have to add them from the bar. Appriciate the help.

Don't worry man, I did the same thing! Out of all the times the game tutorial makes you look at your own spellbook, it doesn't highlight the pet spellbook as much.

And I also highly recommend the above resource for choosing a pet with the abilities that you're after.
