How to: 'the Hallowed' on a Free to Play twink

Guild Master
I decided to put together a little guide on how to get the title on your F2P. Better hurry, you've only got about a week and a half to do it.

You can view the guide over at my blog here.

When I get home I'll add the WoWhead links seperately to the achievements and probably be a little more detailed, but it's pretty simple and self explanatory.

You should have included a guideline for getting to each inn in a timely/efficient manner. Otherwise it doesn't really tell you much that isn't in the game.

A good path to travel for each of the inns (Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outlands) would make the guide worthwhile though. For instance, I started with Kalimdor in Darnassus, grabbing that one and Teldrasil, then worked my way south.

I thought about writing this up myself, and may still do so but thought I would bring it up in case you wanted to add it to your guide.

I will do that tonight, thank you for the suggestion!

its not all that complicated. if anything, the route to the buckets is the smallest obstacle in getting the title.

If you have all the flight points, just fly around..north to south, or south to north. Yeah, you could cut off maybe 20-30 minutes or so per continent if you mapped it out efficiently, but that's not really an issue. If you don't have the flight points, then there's quit a bit of time to be saved with the zone-rez shortcuts (and not clicking the 'return to gy' button until you're ontop of the bucket so that you get to the closest gy), which might be a worthwhile explanation for some.

the real issue is the HH achievement, especially if you don't have friends on your server.
  • tips on how/where/when to recruit are money imo.
  • spelling out the whole "/say" issue.
  • which achievs to prioritize (HH, wands, heads) and time management are key for those of us without a lot of playtime (and anyone who starts late in the holiday).
  • popping in and out of BG's & dungeons to recruit for the HH achiev and ask for wands
  • getting 3-4 of the fire-extinguishing dailies done early so that you have enough pumpkins then
  • using BGs to scout out opposing faction races while knocking out Gnerds
  • blablabla

The only thing that i am having toule with is getting into Winterspring
<

Fly to Moonglade from Teldrassil (take a boat there if you're in Stormwind) run west to the Timbermaw tunnel, turn left, come out in Winterspring, run east, proft.

If you want all the achieves, and all the novelty items, it might be worth mentioning where the candy that isn't part of the achievements are located. Also, a turtle is a good way to make people message you. Heaps of people ask me about it.My original plan was to scout around UC on a horde character for a goblin then suicide run to use the lantern on it. Fortunately a guild spammer helped me out by logging onto their goblin so I could use the lantern on them. That made it a lot easier. I also found hanging out in GS or outside Org where people duel was a good way to meet lowbies, have duels and /say conversations. This will vary from server to server.

Thanks, before this i've never had anything to do with Winterspring so i didnt even know that there was a tunnel xD
