How To: Awesome Signatures.

Awesome

<The Awesome>
-Introduction-

Hey there curious onlooker. My name is Awesome, and I have a profound reputation with signature making on this website. Here is a link to my thread, which, after reading this thread, you won't need anymore -http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/art-comics/20336-awesomes-sigs.html

-Examples-

This is some of my best work on the site.

Materials

To begin, you need the following things:

- A working armory link to the character you would like to turn into a signature.

- A photobucket account.

- A www.printwarcraft.com account.

- Any other components you would like in your signature (i.e. If you like rainbows, a rainbow. If your name is Nyquil or Mochabad, a bottle of Nyquil or a cup of coffee. It all really comes down to creativity)

- A computer, common sense, a keyboard, and a mouse. (derp)

To Begin

Visit www.printwarcraft.com, and set up your account. It does not need to be relative to your WoW account.

Once you have your account set up, you should be here:

Once you are here, go to the "Characters" tab on the website. Where it asks for the character name and realm, enter the text appropriately. If you are a EU player, select the flag for the region you reside in.

The character you specify does not have to belong to you as it does not effect anything in game, and does not ask for a password.

Once you have filled out the text boxes, click "Submit"

Now that you have added a character to your printwarcraft account, go to the tabs section and click the tab "The Builder."

This should pop up on your screen:

Click what I have highlighted in the image.

When you arrive to the point where the title of the page is "Choose a Template or Create Your Own", click "Create Your Own".

You should now be here:

Notice the black background and small world of warcraft logo in that screenshot. The background should always be black if you want to make a signature that APPEARS to be transparent in front of the background of twinkinfo. I will get to that later.

The logo is simply blizzard being blizzard and marking their territory. Fortunately, you can scale it down 90% and move it to the side to be cropped out later. I will get to that part later as well.

When you have found a position that you think looks good, press "Save Your Work" and enter a name for the piece. When it is done saving, go to the tabs section once again and click the "Images" tab. A navigation window will pop up. Disregard it, and press "Leave this page".

What to do here should be obvious. Save the image as a file and upload it to photobucket.com. Make the background transparent, then fill it in with the same color background as twinkinfo.com. This is why we chose the black background, so the borders of the character are black and less noticeable against the darker background of twinkinfo.com.

Add in any components you may want in your signature (text, faces, landmarks, objects, etc.)

Your signature is now done for the most part. When you enter the URL into the signature box, BE SURE TO PRESS "PREVIEW SIGNATURE" BEFORE SAVING. Sometimes the signature will show white lines around the border of the signature. This can be cropped out.

Congratulations, you can now make yourself a signature!

As a closing statement, I'd like to say that I have been a user of photobucket since I could suck my thumb, so I ham very experienced with the site. Over time results will improve, and I guarantee taht your first couple of signatures won't come out like you had expected.

Good luck, and happy twinking!

Edit: if there are any errors or parts where I am less than specific, please call it out and I will fix it.

Okay, i love you.

Im only having one problem, when i try to add a char on printcraft, i get an error saying that the amory is under maintenance, this happens to all chars im typing in.

Agree but i can wait :D

Yeah, IDK what's up it is doing this to me as well.

Best answer I can provide is that the armory is in fact undergoing maintenance :p

That's good news, i was affraid it was just bugged.

Sent in a support ticket and this is the email I got back:

We are sorry about this. Blizzard has changed its armory format and we haven't caught up yet. Our system registers this as "armory is down" since it cannot find the data it is looking for. I will let you know as soon as we have caught up with the changes.
