how do you beat the first boss in SW?

this is my 70 twink in progress



i have pugged sunwell a few times, the first boss is a real cockblock, is there an easy 2 line strategy to use that a PuG can understand?

yea...just take the portals and pewpewpew. kill the boss inside there, not the dragon outside & u win. if u think the 1st boss is a cockblock, give up now btw. get better gear in t5/6 raids and or get more 80s, SMART 80s. even @ 80 SWP can NOT be facerolled, it still takes some smarts to get a full clear.

full t6 is the sexiest, i have 8/8, but i also have several pieces of sw gear like the BiS helm off KJ

come on, there should be more than "kill the boss inside" because i have tried that.



do you mean just tank the dragon outside first, take portals whenever its up, kill boss inside, then finish dragon himself?

He basically means what he said - also as he said, if you think Kalecgos is hard - you should probably stop. There are 2 phases for him, you want to bring both the dragon and the guy in the middle down to about the same %, when the dragon enrages (10%?) he stops making portals = no more people in shadow relm to kill that guy, so you need to kill the other guy first, then the dragon - its been a while since ive done it, but you should check out mmo-champion for a strat, or bosskiller

getting 10+ people or however much it takes to gather gear. not starting any bracket wars, just saying 79 must be a pain in the ass to twink

just so you know i would play my twink if i could....but man, in my battlegroup, 40-49 has been dead since 3.2...

bunch of parts to this:



make a few groups, each with their own healer and tank.



Decide who is going to stay on the dragon, and which groups are going to take the portal down to the demon. dps both bosses evenly.



tell the healers to go crazy with the heals, shouldn't be hard to keep people up and hold mana of they're 80's. tanks take priority over dps. Bosses are tauntable, so switch tanks when arcane buffet stacks get too big.



DONT LET KALE'S HUMAN FORM DIE.



Get both bosses to about 12%, then tell everyone to pop all cd's and burn them quickly, sath, then kale. quickly, remember, because kale's stacking enrage buff is really really nasty. It's where most people wipe.



get as many +resist buffs and Magic dampening effects as possible, makes arcane buffet an annoyance as opposed to a problem.
