hitting and soloing high level mobs after 5.0.4

I'm wondering about hit after the new 5.0.4 patch. As caster (elemental shaman) the highest soloabe creatures for me before 5.0.4 were at lvl 45. Now, and with the help of infinite mana, i can solo lvl 58 mobs unbuffed on hellfire peninsula, and maybe even higher.
What is your experience with hitting high level mobs after 5.0.4?

i'm still trying to figure out how dodge and parry scale (the free 10 day retry sidetracked me)...but Hit most definitely scales at +1.5% per level. I don't yet understand Parry and Dodge as I seem to be getting Dodged and parried roughly 17-18% of the time for everything from lvl 29 mobs to lvl 70 dummies....still got a lot of sampling to do to get reliable numbers.

...you can't reference this page. It doesn't tell you what happens when mob > 3 lvls (like I said, the hit rule does scale, but Dodge/Parry don't seem to be scaling at +1.5%/level).

Mobs hit harder via level. I dont know how to soloed a 58 mob.
Not too difficult as hybrid caster. Simply put out the fire totem and striktly switch between an instant cast and heal cast (with water shield up). After about 5 minutes your mob is dead :D

Meh, i farmed a 41 lvl lock with my F2P, prior to the patch. yes he was 21 levels higher than me, which makes me wonder why my hit rating was so effective against him. i missed just a few shots on him, and he didn't kill me once. It also counts how good or bad are you to kite mobs.

F2P (lvl 20) Hunter vs 82 Croc in Uldum - YouTube
Pm Tooh87,hes done it all..''before your time'' . Now I have solod and 2 f2p mannd 69s and the rares in outlands for the achivement(which for some reason I didnt get) myself after getting inspired by his vids but I havent ever tried taking on anything lvl 70+.Now speaking of 5.0.4...

This is just right now.I couldnt really kite these lvl 69 guys anywhere cuz on one side there is the alliance guards and on the other ..loads of those mobs and id probably get killed so I just stood in 1 spot tanking it with infinite mana..thankfully he just spams those scarabs at you instead of bone crushing melee attacks(literally at this level lol)

I bet a hunter cannot kill a 82 croc after 5.0.4 nerf. So, what is the situation now for melees and casters? And a caster cannot kite very good. So i think something around lvl 60 is the limit now. Feel free to post your experience!

Well, as I was flying myself around NR earlier I noticed the few times I tried to attack mobs, namely rares that I aggroed on my P2P, that I was missing considerably more than I remember in the past. Well, that and needing expertise now. I didn't test it out much though. No more than a minute tops. I could be mistaken though as that vid was the last time I did anything like that, and it's been a while now. I might try my luck at some stuff tomorrow and see how it goes. I highly doubt I'll try anything 80+, as that 82 croc took like 45 minutes to kill, but I might.

/shrug

Edit: I might put off attempts until I try for some Foreman's Gloves. Not sure if it'll help much, but w/e.

Edit 2: I went out to Uldum, found a very slow moving mob to test on, and running around for two minutes I did not have a single attack hit. Looks like my old antics will no longer be doable. Time to find something lower level. :/
