Hint to easily reset Ragefire Chasm as alliance.

Farming the instance solo is pretty good: easy reputation, recipe (swiftness, engineer pet, mats, etc + the darkmoon quest item).

I just have a problem to reset the instance. Besides disconnecting a moment, is there an easy way to reset it? (and how much do you need to be disconnected for it to reset btw?).

You cannot reset the instance while you are inside it.

When I dual box with my DK, I have him drop an AoE outside the entrance to avoid pulling aggro and getting one-shotted as I zone out on my F2P in order to reset.

If you don't have the luxury of a P2P, then first of all you're gonna have a heck of a time getting to the entrance inside Org, and our probably better off using LFD.

If you do make it inside solo then I would recommend taking off all armor dieing inside. Reset it while you are running back as a ghost before you zone in.

If your last person inside and you disconnect/alt-f4 I thik it's at least 10 minutes before the instance is automatically reset, not sure exactly.

if you stay inside the instance, more than 25minutes is needed for it to reset (not tested while dead & waiting outside).

If you die and come back, the instance won't reset.
if you go inside and get back (alive), it won't reset (you can do it solo with a paladin (spam hand of protection, while the loading bar is still on, you'll have few seconds left on your handofprot to get back).

if you do it solo, you have no way to reset the instance by getting outside as well (right clicking on your portrait + reset is not there).

Oh, I didn't realize that "Reset all instances" wasn't there on portrait right-click when you aren't in a party.

You can still reset the instance while outside as a ghost, but you will need to use the following macro:

Code:
/script ResetInstances();

Little update. I did the instance 11x times. Dropped the recipe swiftness potion (at the 11th try, last humanoid), the +agi potion, the plan for the engineer pet and 4x quests items for the Darkmoon monthly event. As a paladin, it's pretty cool.

The worse is just getting into it (as alliance). If you have swiftness potion in your inventory, use them with your hand of protection ; guards & npc only do physical damage, so 10s of invulnerability at 150% speed is good.
