Help understanding XP off 19-20 tink

Hey, I have a few days left of game time, and when it runs out I plan to play level 19-20 brackets. Using the last bit of game time to sort out all the enchants and things I need.

Something I have had trouble with last time I was unsubbed and played my 19 MW monk (XP off), I was unable to queue for battlegrounds. Is this intended or is my account bugged?

I have seen a lot of different posts saying different things. If someone could clarify this it would be great (or link me a thread that explains it correctly). If xp-off bgs when you have no game time is no longer allowed I will have to ding 20 on them.

I believe it is intended that u cannot play bg's or arena on anything but 20's once unsub'd. U can obviously play bg's and arena with XP-on but u will level through them. In actual fact I like making F2P's simply to play the XP-on brackets as they pop faster.

Not sure if u want to ding all ur 19's just in case u ever want to go back to them!
 
I would suggest you to do a new char lvl 20, stuff is obtained quite quickly, excepted some BiS like SF if you don't have the gold for it. This way you keep your lvl 19 in case you wanna come back subscribed, and you have a correct lvl 20 to play with :)
 
Hm ok. Well I have a level 19 MW monk, and I have just yesterday/today got another monk to level 19. Its currently brewmaster but considering WW. I may just let it hit 20. If I want a lvl 19 WW/BM monk I can just re-gear my 19 mistweaver.

I also have a hunter at level 10 currently, may let that hit 20 to play unsubbed.

Your time would have been better spent grinding gold for game-time because being a level 20 twink just isn't what it used to be. What did it used to be? Fun. Today, playing in this bracket consists of mostly just waiting in queue. Since you're already preparing to make a few 20s I'll assume it's too late to grind up game time and suggest twinking that ww monk of yours and maybe a ret pally as well. The aforementioned specs have more buttons to press than many other specs in the bracket which makes them a lot more fun to get one-shot on after waiting in queue for 20-30 minutes.
 
WoW tokens are 90k on EU id rather just pay for game time, just want to take a few months break paying for game time, and doing the odd twink bg here and there is just enough to pass time, and still play the game. If the bg is a win that is a bonus :D

Just solo'd Shadowfang keep, got some bracers on my first run, luck is on my side today :D
 
So now I feel rather silly, it didn't cross my mind that even if I had enchants in my bags, I wouldn't be able to use them now my time has run out due to starter edition restriction. Luckily my monk is basically ready for playing, my hunter will be missing boots/gloves/bracer and 1 ring enchant ;_;
