So. For the first time in my 6+ years using computers, playing wow, ect. I have NEVER had any pc parts that didn't come with the PC already (i've never built one or added new parts).
Recently, at 19 years old, i decided to order a graphics card for the first time and a new power supply.
The power supply worked perfectly but the graphics card did not.
The problem with the graphics card was the inability to boot up for me to install the graphics drivers - even tho the pc booted fine without it in.
I spent over 9 hours researching, putting together, dismantaling the pc and bitching like a girl.
I was about to send it back for a deducted refund price, but every night since i bought it, i get a little salty and try to research more and figure out what the hell is wrong and why it just wont work.
I updated my bios, uninstalled integrated graphics, EVERYTHING YOU'RE TOLD / TAUGHT ABOUT THIS SHIT was not working.
But i finally found something that sounded like complete bullshit but i had nothing to lose..
START AT NUMBER 4 <---
That somehow managed to let my pc boot up and i finally was able to install this graphics card .
And was able to download the drivers needed and excitedly loaded up WoW.
To give you an idea of what i previously played on, put all your settings to the lowest possible, have nothing running in the background, and walk around. What is your fps at? Mine was 12. 6 in bgs/raids.
Now I can put it on max graphics and get 30-60 moving around. For the first time, my character moves smoothly and raids are enjoyable.
This post is nothing more than a happy post where i felt i needed to share.
Can't wait to see my boys ingame and actually move smoothly.
