Halls of Reflection loot in LW bugged

As we know, HoR in Arthas lorewalking & associated loots are scaled down to our level. There are some yummy loots to be had, depending on our class. One of it is Chilled Heart of the Glacier, which comes with gem slot by default, and higher secondary stats than other equivalent ilvl items. On my level 20, the stats are as follows:

Despite what the item tooltip says, the actual Intellect gain is not +22, but only +19 when equipped. This is confirmed by the +Int gain in the character stats and the ability damage numbers.

However, the biggest offender to me (as a leather wearer) is Fallen Sentry's Hood. This is what it shows me (this one procced extra gem slot):

Upon equipping it, I am only getting +2 Int, +0 Crit & +6 Haste. So even with an extra gem, the total stats are still wayyyy off from advertised.

Gotta say am quite deflated now, as I've spent hours farming other pcs of new gear with appropriate tertiaries to go with this head. Even spent quite a few Marks of Honor gemming them up and now have to mostly abandon them.

Does this bug, if it can be called that, apply only to specific pieces or to the whole HoR loot table? I don't know that yet.

Does it apply to the Stratholme portion in LW too? Well, so far I have only tested with one item Plague-Infected Bracers, and the stats are working as what it says.

All the LW loot I farmed had incorrect descriptions and provided worse stats.
This was known a month ago, you just need to put an LW item on a naked character and compare it.

It’s not a lorewalking thing. It’s an issue with underbudgeted stat values that seems to only happen in items with sockets from late wrath (like the catchup dungeons for ICC) and through cata.

This impacts items that natively have sockets. A few months ago these items had tooltips that showed their lower stat values. Blizzard recently made some updates which changed the tooltips but didn’t actually change the actual values that these items gave. This change happened around the same time as them fixing the stat values given to SoO socketed heirlooms roughly.

You can tell if these items are impacted by using shift to compare against currently equipped gear, and also checking wowhead which still shows the actual values the items will give at each level

Basically avoid socket gear from late wrath or cata.

On using shift compare - that's a great tip!

And now it makes sense why Stratholme items are working as per tooltip, and not the HoR socketed ones.
