Grinding Reputation Has Just Become Much Harder

I went to Silithus to finish up the Guardian of Cenarius title achievement and saw that I was not getting any reputation from the mobs (I was getting the reputation on the high level I was using to grind - we were both Neutral).

I tried changing my party to a raid group, reloading, logging out and back in, and attacking the mobs. No luck. Nothing seemed to work to give me rep.

After some investigation and bouncing ideas between other rep-grinding twinks, we came to the conclusion that you need to actually HIT (and do damage) on the target for you to become legible for credit (i.e. loot and rep).

If ANYONE has an actual trick to bypass this, please by all means share it with us.

This would means that getting items such as the famous Furbolg Medicine Pouch will become an extremely gruesome grind, and basically making The Diplomat and Guardian of Cenarius grandfathered, along with many other items/toys/achievements.

I hope I am wrong.

Unless it is something they changes just in past 48hrs i'd say it still works. did saberstalkers few days ago. was dead ghost and no problems. You cant loot any mobs anymore but you should get rep.

Hmmm then the question is, what was I doing wrong?

I was multi-logging 2 accounts onto 1 computer, could that have been it?

ofc not.
the only reason i could imagine is you did some quests on high lvl and now you zoned out.

Can both of your characters see each other?
if regruping dont work i have no idea.

We need more reports to conclude anything.

Yeah I could see the character. I didn't try reforming the group, might give that a shot next time I go down to Silithus.

I literally did Furbolg rep farm about four days ago on my new lv19 druid and it took me hardly a hour to get the rep needed to buy the pouch. no problems AT all for me, and yes, i was dual logged in on two accounts.
