Ghost Dragon Engineering Trinket

So, i have been grinding and mining for sometime now. Managed to get the trinket and make it appropriate for my level with the relic of the past thing. But im confused, while i was on the way of crafting it, i crafted some Cogs/Sockets that needed higher ilvl gear (My trink is now ilvl19 which is impossible to use those Sockets on) Is there something im missing? Would love to know if i missed anything.

The trinket is from mop engineering but the cogwheel sockets are from level 75 cata engineering from the SW/Org vendor, also you can get someone to socket it so you don't have to level cata eng yourself

Oh boy, there are 2 barriers that make it impossible. 1- im a pure f2p meaning i cannot trade, whisper nor speak in trade chat
2-Cata content is 30, so im unable to do any of it. God damn it i wasted 2 weeks for this shit. Isnt there like other way to socket them without Cata content?

https://www.wow-professions.com/guides/cataclysm-engineering-leveling Here is a list of all the mats you require to level cata eng up to 75....Volatile Fire can be obtained from veins, I would just farm the river bank in Twilight Highlands, and Volatile Air can be obtained from Sealed Crate https://www.wowhead.com/item=78930/sealed-crate . This is fished in the pools on Darkmoon Faire island, but I dunno if those pools still drop the crates (Need confirmation).
Only problem is that you will need for the Darkmoon Faire to begin, and only got 1 week to farm the 30 Volatile Air required (2% chance to drop). The other way would be to farm https://www.wowhead.com/npc=46328/enslaved-tempest in Twilight Highlands, but with help from other twinks. If you do all this, you can acces the cogwheels gems from the vendor (In SW for Ally, dunno for Horde). Be warned the cogwheels require eng crafted items. Hope this helps, but all this info is more of a larger tip, is by no way fully complete.

Appreciate the guide, but im afraid i wont be able to proceed this route anymore. Dont even know how i can survive a skull mob leveled area without getting fucked alot. The garrison trink will be enough for me perhaps.

The trinks from BfA can also proc a socket (don't know if you're intereseted in those); so that could be a cool route as well. Sorry about the restrictions

if you can also claim to beat this boss, i'm sure that you'll be ok in the cata zones.

Ah, guess it's worth a shot. Thought you were like hunter or mage, not implying that Prot pala is bad, but Hunters and Mages are broken. Perhaps Destro lock will be enough.

na, pvp really isn't my forte. besides that, they're overrated.

when people begin playing other classes other than the hunter/mage and get demolished, they'll probably begin to invest on other classes.

edit: also despite i have one hunter in my sig, i haven't really been on him as much since the launch.

well with *that* defeatist attitude, you're gonna have a short life as a F2P. The play style revolves almost entirely around the *challenge* of these often obscene grinds.

You're gonna need like 750 elementium ore to get to 75 cata engi and use the cogwheels. But its not impossible, its just a chore and its likely to be deeply frustrating. But all you have to do is get to twilight highlands, grab the FPs to establish a sort of "safe zone" and be very picky about pathing to nodes and which nodes to avoid even tying for. And be comfortable with long mob fights and probably dying a bit more than youd like.

I mean yeah nothing is really impossible. I just say that but do it regardless.(A bad habit of mine) I have encountered those kinds of predicaments while doing the garrison bell Trinket in Nagraand, was quite the experience. But i will see what i can do about Cata Engineering.
Oh and i have been a f2p account since cataclysm, stopped paying monthly after WotLK.
