Gearing in dungeons question

If my char in second window sits at the beginning of the dungeon while my twink clears everything will it get loot from bosses by mail or i need to manually loot everything?
I know it works in raids but not sure about dungeons.

You'll need to be within a certain distance, otherwise no. You don't get loot.
Best bet is to whup all the trash & let the Twink you want loot for solo the boss.
Beyond that, have both toons attack the boss & roll the dice with RnGeezus.
