Gear Nostalgia thread

Was watching some old videos and started thinking about all the sexy gear we used to rock back in the day, and the weird armor sets that would make no sense nowadays:

-Stacking mp5 (4 on bracers, 6 (later changed to 7) on inferno robe)
-Having a spirit weap
-Having Deadskull shield meant you planned out your xp to the point, and was a VERY cool status symbol
-Feeling like a boss if you had Fishing Boots as a caster, and feeling like a scrub if you had Sanguine Sandals
-Treebark Jacket (RIP)
-Int. stacking hunters
-"DPS" shaman stacking firepower
-Twisted Chanters Staff with 22 int., Staff of the Blessed Seer with 55 healing
-Pallies with Shadowfang and spellpower gear
-Ugly ass Venomstrike
-Enti's Quenched Sword
-Non-cloth wearing classes/non-casters using Talbar Mantle
-BoA weaps starting out as barely better than non BoA (at least for casters)
- Mindthrusts were -4/9
-Sentry cloak and Blackened Defias Armor
-the 3.05 225 Mining bug

-Twinks having some flavor and variety, rather than looking like any other cookiecutter leveling toon, or generic transmog set

I started playing during the Black Temple patch, but I know there's others far older than me. Share some stuff you remember from the good old days!

can't forget the rogue weapon enchants as well

used to see green, red, purple, white, I even had a blue enchant from the +5 weapon damage on my Assassin's Blade back in the day

now you look at rogues and they all have green weapons

My fondest memory is some point in wrath even though i started in vanilla, where you could send lvl 10 white weapons to a high lvl rogue, lose all durability and equip wound poision and then send it to your lvl 19 rogue. Remember pissing phonebook off with this because of it practically hitting for 500+ each proc, and it procced every hit! :D

just two random pieces that were/are neat. Old AP pants from back in the day and hook of master angler which not many twinks have..even today.

When agm had 12 dodge. Rogues stacked dodge and just backed into a corner to win against any melee class. Priest only good damage was a wand, (gravestone scepter). Rogues kitting with garrote and not being able to be hit if done right. Locks got a bubble from void walker and had consume shadows -_- when 19s were able to get glyphs, hunters got one where every time they dodged they got a sprint for a few seconds. Sp stacking mages could almost one hit if geared right. Stam stacking frost mages for kiting D ha. RvR would last forever. just some shit i remember

Good call on adding those. Glyph of the Monkey, hahaha. That was so amazing. I actually miss how priests used to be. When they had renew and had to wand and their fastest heal was like 2.5 seconds lol. That actually took skill and you can easily tell the better priests from the ones less skilled. You also had to watch your mana closely and have a an mp5/spirit set ready to swap to regen. Now it's cake walk. I can't remember the last time I ran out of mana on my 19 priest.

Don't play 19s much anymore on my 19 war but this reminded me how I made a level 1 warrior or pally (Not sure)for Enti's Quenched Sword and 1 day later after I spent almost all my gold on enchants and gear, they fixed it.

Splash AoE heal from holy light when glyphs were new and started @ 15

Talents trees made character creation more interesting with crossover at any level.

Int stacking hunters.

Everyone had talbar's mantle.

Once upon a time mana conservation was important.

Glacial Stone was bad ass.

My first twink had too much xp to get seal of wrynn.

Armor kits on pants and librams on head.

Agi actually added to crit for all melee.

You could choose different spell levels - near insta cast level 1 frostbolt.

Librams ^_^

If I could bring anything back it would be

Leg Armor Kits
Librams
Fishing Boots

I wouldnt mind shoulder enchants back also but that was alittle overkill

ZG shoulder enchants

Weather-beaten had 40 Stamina (late wrath?)
Hunters gearing int
Venomstrike
Taskmaster axe
Actually having to plan twinks
Westfall quest items and defias quest for the seal
Old WSG marks / Call to arms: Warsong gulch quest
