Hey everyone. I'm trying to decide on which of the two BoA shoulders I should get as a mage: http://www.wowhead.com/item=44107 or http://www.wowhead.com/item=42985. Tattered looks better but it's a lot more expensive because of the conquest point conversion. What do you guys recommend? Is it worth it to spend the extra 1k honor or just go with sunderseer?

forget what it looks like...you "should" be able to tranmorg them come 4.3. just look at the stats.

i would take tattered. Resil is not that useful.

To improve over Magician's Mantle + Noble's Robe in stats you'll need both fugly Tattered pieces, the Honor shoulders are decent enough (and look a lot better, but ofc mogging makes that irrelevant) but if you want to go for best stats I'd keep the Honor ones 'on loaner'* at best - grinding 1k more > 3k more.



*park toon near Vendor, buy loom, turn in again to regain points after battle, buy loom again etc. Note that they maybe monkeying with turn-ins this time around on Patch day.

neither is stamina.

you can't cant enough resilience at this level to make a noticeable difference. you're usually going to be forced to give up other more important stats to take a resilience piece. even then you really wont' notice much of a damage reduction. -stamina however, is on almost all gear it's quite different. you'll rarely be forced to choose between stamina and something else.
