Are you a veteran or a pure F2P?

Because theres some weird profession glitches with veteran accounts but I've got the goggles on several toons.

I guess I'm just pure f2p..I mean, I have an acc that's been deactivated for years that I'm playing through..but I didn't do anything prior to quitting years back, which I guess is how you get veteran status?

Yup, you're a "veteran account" which means that, at one point, that account had a subscription. Which, unfortunately, means you have some super weird bugs to deal with as far as professions go. Im not entirely up on how those work exactly but Im sure other people can tell you more.

What I can tell you is NEVER FEAR! You can still acquire the Lucky Fishing Hat and have full gear on your priest.

You'd be best off doing the fishing daily every day for a chance for WBFH, and try the contest every sunday for LFH. If you're horde, you can also do Stonetalon quests for a helmet.

Stonetalon is faster than both. Alliance is just one quest, horde is a chain that takes about an hour.

You could get free game time from doing the 10 day legion trial or if that’s not available ask a gm to give you game time so a friend can give you the gold for game time, make up any convincing story that one always works though.
