What do you want to do wtih your feral druid, FC'in or Feral DPS?



As for Feral DPS, the intellect staff, Riot Stick is the best weapon a feral druid can get

I don't think that you want to go for riot stick as long as the eyepatch is too good not to choose.

Eyepatch + blue mace or heirloom mace > riot stick + Lucky fishing hat or Flying tiger goggle or Weather beaten fishing hat => DPS Feral

Actually, the riot stick + lucky is better due to higher top end damage therefore better weapon normalisation:

With Riot stick + Lucky:



44-55 Weapon Damage in Cat Form

21.06% crit

8.78% hit





Vs

44-53 Weapon Damage in Cat Form

19.98% crit

12.47% hit



other than the small increase in attack power there is no real benefit of using the second choice, which is the blue mace + head due to the fact that most of the daamge ferals due is very high percentage based so top end damage becomes really beneficial to feral druids, indeed 2 top weapon damage doesn't seem like alot but apart from that getting rid of some unwanted hit for a good 1% of crit isn't so bad, but i cannot tell for sure how this effects rip damage until i have thoroughly tested this, i'll get back to you soon with my findings

Disagree, riot stick may put out better dps than the other weapons, but I would take the eyepatch 100% of the time for the agi and hit.



Also with full looms you are going to hit cap vs 24s with the pve shoulders, and there ARE 24s.

already have the eyepatch and GMs as of late wont let me switch items anymore so im stuck with it.

both count, as without haste your swing timer is always gonna be 1.0 seconds. so top end does play a big factor.

...I can't say that I've EVER ran up to an opponent and taken them down with white damage.



Crit is what I look at. DPS is pretty much the last stat I look at on a weapon.

anyone else have trouble with getting gear to drop....ive cleared to moloch like 10 times and the damned boots wont drop...so frustrating, same with naga gloves.

You're right, white damage doesn't do alot of damage



The main damage modifier for our main attack mangle, is weapon damage, the better weapon damage you have, the more you'll hit, pretty simple.

right, but when you crit, your damage is at 200% of whatever that lower dps number is, vs. the slightly higher number if you value dps over everything. I can kill an opponent when I crit. I've found it very hard to kill someone without critting. Okay, Okay, fairly impossible.

Blizzard is conspiring against my completion of gear on this druid. 20+ Runs of BFD to only see the glove drop twice, and both times everyone but the healers rolled on them...
