Faction Changes and Quest Items

Does anyone know if faction only quest items will stay with your toon if you faction change?



For Example: Gutterblade, Infierno Robe, Wingblade, Tunic of Westfall, etc.

Blizzard hasn't given us much information yet. Basically all we have is...

A. We’ll have more details for you at a later point in time, though we plan to keep these as close to a reflection of the other faction as much as possible.

Maybe they'll let you trade it in for a quest reward of the same level as the one you did to get the original item.

Yeah, really don't think Blizz will have to force us to pay more cash in order to get the best gear for each class by changing faction with our twinks.

Wow. I have a feeling that you're absolutely right. I have not even considered the fact that they may be putting level restrictions on this feature. We're likely not going to be able to transfer until at least level 40.

no one will really know, till more details come. maybe it will be a loophole that Blizz won't limit or fix. players swapping factions to farm ultimate gear, will be a income boost for Blizz



as of now the only thing they are focusing on is the faction mounts. they won't let them be used by other factions, like a alliance riding a horde wolf or horde riding a gnome mount. but no info, if they will allow them to count in the 100 mount total.

Even though they might put level restrictments to this, at least you can migrate your main, faction change and create that horde/ally twink you always wanted with BoAs without levelling a new toon til 80.

Not as good as you wished for? At least it's better than nothing, but it sure sucks if you can't do this @ lvl 19, but I guess it will be lvl 10 as with the migrating?



Is there a level restriction to the sex change and the look change and all that shit too?

But that is only if you are trying to get an item then change back, but I am ASSUMING that you will keep your gear if you change Faction.

A.. No. You will only be able to switch back to your originally chosen race.



Before used to be you couldn't change back at all.

I think that the level restriction will be the same as it is to transfer a character from another realm. Level 10 that is. As for keeping the quest items I really don't think blizz would do that but hey...they want you to spend more money so anything could be possible.

Well, I'm certain some BiS gear will get replaced by BoAs before this finally gets implimented anyways, as far as DPS gear goes. I mean, Westful Tunic is beaten in AP by the Rogue and Hunter BoA chests.
