F2P weapon illusion

I was farm today 1 hour for

within un’goro but didn’t see a single drop.

Did anyone know if the drop rate there was changed?
Or does someone know where to get this item from as a F2P?

Thank you for that great tip. Finally after some brd runs I’ve got enough essences of fire.

But now I face the same difficulty for

did someone else make that farming grind for that weapon illusion?

Farmed for 30 min within winterspring and also 30 mins within swarms of sorrow and didn’t get a single drop.

personally tried these too, nothing!
i think one of the outland mobs in nagrand might drop it, its in a place for flying but i forgot about it

I found with the introduction of chromie time waters no longer drop from the eles in swamp of sorrow. like I swapped around chromie time xpacs and I am pretty sure they don't drop on bfa/slands time wich f2p is stuck on. Like they dont even drop the same junk loot on different chromie time settings.

Depending on yuor class you can try soloing the water elemental boss in diremaul or mara for a chance at ele water drops.

I would like to bump this thread to tell you, that it is possible to attain the classic weapon illusions as a f2p.

For the https://www.wowhead.com/item=7078/essence-of-fire I farmed the fire elementals in BRD, the ones in the lava near the entrance to Molten Core.
For the https://www.wowhead.com/item=12808/essence-of-undeath I farmed the undead Scarlet Crusade guys at Tyr's hand, which did not take long.
The worst was https://www.wowhead.com/item=7080/essence-of-water , after trying 4-5 different mobs in the open world (the ones in Swamp of Sorrows, Winterspring, Northern STV, and two different ones in EPL) and getting 0, I farmed https://www.wowhead.com/npc=13280/hydrospawn in Dire Maul (Warpwood Quarter). According to wowhead he has a 13% drop chance for the essence. It took me 3 instance lockouts (3 essences on the 1st, 1 on the 2nd, and another one on the 1st run of the 3rd).
You can skip all the trash except one satyr in stealth on the way to him, but be wary cause he has a stackable debuff that lowers your stamina by 5 per stack https://www.wowhead.com/spell=22420/submersion (the tooltip says 9, but it is 5).
So good luck with farming, cause it sure was boring.
