F2P-Rogue's Best Weapon Setup?

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've posted. Simple question...overall...for bg's, what is the best combo a rogue can have for weapons? I've seen all sort of opinions...2 daggers, the boa sword and a dagger, etc...Best I've seen is either 2x doomspike, 2x wicked, or both over all boa's...the boa knives arent really that great and I didn't want to lose backstab with boa sword. I know the hammer is slow but it gives agi sta haste and crit and it's 1-hand so I can keep wicked in main hand for backstab. Any suggestions please? Thanks

I'm interested too. If someone doesn't mind could they link a rogue BiS Chardev without Blue Zone Drops.

I tend to have that effect when arguing with people :p
Remember that as a rogue, you always want to get very slow weps for your oh. Doomspike or scarlet kris are your best bets, but always remember to keep it nice and slow for the OH
Theres a lot of math on the rogue section of the battle.net forums that says you should always use the faster weapon in the offhand, not feeling like getting into this right now but its there if you want to dig for it.

also, faster offhand=more crippling procs, since its a fixed 50% application rate. Using doomspike (1.4) can let you run instant on the mainhaind for more damage, but i still go with crippling because imo rogue is all about control

Hmm, interesting. The only reason i say that is because i keep up with the armories with a lot of top end rogues like Original, reckful, Khuna, etc. and i always see that they have very slow weps in the OH, most likely for poison procs along with potentially higher damage ranges than some faster weapons. Things like Hemo, shiv, backstab and even more energy recovery (through talents of course) come into play, but of course that isn't until higher levels.

Most people would likely agree that slower weps are probably better in the long run, at least for pvp purposes. if you'd like to see what suites you best op, that's fine.

Here's an armory reference for anyone that is curious.

Originals offhand is 1.4, Doomspike is 1.4. :p

When you posted, was he using pve daggers from dragonsoul?

Ive kept up on this for a really long time, almost a year and I can say with 100% certainty that they use a 1.4 offhand with crippling on it for competitive play. crippling poison has a flat proc rate, so the faster the weapon the better, not to mention with shiv the energy cost is reduced. The faster offhand is always better.

Its the other way around.
Faster weapons are probably better in the long run, because if you miss an attack with a slower offhand, that would hurt more than with a fast offhand. Its really simple. But yeah, a 1.4 is needed for crippling procs.
