f2p Legacy weapon questions..

hello everyone, I am a long time wow player but havent played in a few years. I come back from time to time and play low level stuff. I have most fun with that. Just a quick few questions about the legacy weapons. at level 20 currently I have found if youre not already gradfathered in the highest you can get you legacy weapon is ILvl 34.. is this true and also what is thebest way to go about this? just do the legion questline? also how far do you have to quest to get your weapon to this point? also is it possible to unlock the special equip ability at this low of a level anymore? any more info on these weapons would be greatly appreciated thank you!!

The answer to your question (and so many more!) can be found here. Simply complete the artifact weapon quest lines and go about getting relics. No, the unique equip abilities dont work (except for the arms one? which for some reason only works in ZF. Do i remember that right?)

u have to farm legion on a level 24 or 25 and trade for that. best f2p can get is 33, by indeed doing the legion questline. no the special abilities are a legacy bonus thats removed.

Yes that is the cap now for artifact weapons. It was possible at the start of the expansion to get ilvl 49 weapons due to an oversight from Blizzard allowing high level relics to drop.

If you have gametime you can purchase 2x ilvl 28 relics from the AH. When placed into your weapon it will upgrade to ilvl 34.

Without game time you are relying on RNG from legion quest rewards. These can proc upgrades. You can check on wowhead for the type of relic you need to see which quest lines to target.

Farming relics through questing in legion is probably the worst kind of experience when you want to reach the max ilvl possible on your artifact weapon. This whole ordeal will take you much more than 1 character to actually manage to proc 2 epic relics.
Took me 8 characters to finally proc 2 epic relics :>

Bruh the 5th character never procced one fucking relic lmao, i cant be this shit at luck, heck i even have the class hall rng proc upgrade made on all characters. IT WAS STILL HELLISH

Hello. I've been gearing up some twinks and learned a lot from the guides posted here. I'm in the level20 f2p/vet account category. One thing I haven't found (at least easily) is info about how to get Artifact weapon relics? I looked on AH and there are a few but apparently too high of an item level. Where should i get these now? And also what ilevel will my weapon go to if i get two relics? 30?
