Pretty good times, if all you resto/balance ds are looking for a change. Making a ret pally/enh shaman next.

Maybe I misunderstood your post, but I was under the impression that feral was doing fairly well in the F2P bracket. Rerolling a ret pally or enh shaman after playing a druid might be a bit of a shock. I haven't tested out a shaman yet, but the difference between my pally's ret DPS pre-MoP and post-MoP was embarrassing. All I could do in BG's was act as a meatshield because I hit like a level 5 kobold with no candle and went OOM after 2 heals.

Alas, I respecced Prot and those problems were solved. It was the completely opposite end of the spectrum, to the point where it wasn't exciting to play my pally anymore. From what I've heard, though, enh shaman are in a pretty similar boat to ret pallies (though their DPS might be a little better than ret's, they're still towards the bottom of the totem pole). I don't know if you're unaware of the current state of ret / enh or just rerolling an underpowered spec for the sake of the challenge, but if it's the latter then I commend you. And if it's the former, well, you should reconsider what toon to make.

And if I totally misunderstood your post, then I apologize for making you shuffle through my writing.

No, you got it pretty right on. I am trying to experiment with the less-played specs of classes in the bracket, for the challenge. I'd like to influence all the un-oomable druids to try it out.

You are right though, no doubt. Feral druid is way more ideal than an enh shaman or ret pally. Druids are just so good overall. At least as feral, I can actually die, and not feel ridiculous.

I rolled a mage, but without boa, it's pretty brutal. The CC / unfocused damage is great, but yea.

I think the mage is definitely a good choice if you're looking for a high skill cap :p The control a good frost mage can bring to a BG, between their ability to peel DPS, CC with poly, silence casters, and respectable DPS to pressure healers and provide burst.

I really like the mage class, but after playing warriors and paladins for so long, the lack of passive defenses really got to me. If you're looking for a challenge, though, I'd encourage you to stick it out with the mage and see how good you can get. There are some good clips of mages in F2P PvP on youtube. I think Nevmind is the name of a pretty popular one.

And the best part is that mages have been pretty consistent patch to patch. They don't seem to go through the extremes that some other classes experience, so you can feel safe knowing that your mage will never be a faceroller nor a facerollee.

Dont try enhance! I played enhance since the beginning of f2p and enjoyed it very much. But with mop there is really no reason to keep with enhance. And this has nothing to do with skill cap.
I tried ele a little. It's pretty solid but for me it's kind of boring casting a 2sec lightning bolt as your main attack.
Feral is total fun! You can deal huge dps if played well and equipped right (Not like the funny half int/half agi or agi/resto guys)!
What i will try next is warlock. I have a 19 f2p warlock just waiting to hit 20. Only sad thing about casters is the huge difference between having a boa weapon or blue stuff.

So, just go ahead and enjoy your next class.

Cheers Gattuso

I'm actually surprised now-a-days when a cat druid doesn't hit me with their purse. I default to thinking they are all restoration.

Yea, I wont give up on the mage. I've had some good productive games, normally when our team actually works as a team.

Frost mage CC is amazing in this bracket for sure. Shatter has always been nice for burst. It's just frustrating when neither team is playing objectively. I get really annoyed when 3-4 horde are mid, normally 1 hunter, and they literally chase me all the way around the map. They're busy, at least.

I had to spec my feral druid resto to solo sfk. Never wanted him to be this spec =(
