[EU] 30-39 Ethereum Prison Key Farming!

Okay I have made previous posts about my intention to farm up Ethereum Prison Keys for the purpose of getting the Guardian of Cenarius title and achievement and more exalted reps. I am now in the process of beginning to farm these with the ultimate goal to max out all the TBC reps that are possible.



I know people have done it in other brackets, I am now sending a call out to people who are serious about getting these achievements and either have, or can commit the time to farming/gathering the keys.



From what I gather it can only be done in a party so we are limited to 5 people. We will need one high level to farm the mobs. I guess you can tag the mob and then have a high level outside the party to kill the mob, that will come down to whether there are 5 people seriously interested or less.



Looking at other info it`s a conservative guess that we will need around 3000-4000 keys to achieve the title. Now I am aiming to get all the reps maxxed so I am thinking it may likely take nearer 5000 keys?



I don`t have a tremendous amount of keys at the moment but I will slowly start farming them. I don`t have unlimited time ingame so this will take me a while, but I am making this thread now to gauge interest and to plan ahead of time.



My proposal is that if you are genuinely interested in this and you can commit the time required then you can transfer to Arathor Horde side (that`s where I`ll be back by then, currently Alliance on that server) and bring with you a minimum of 1000 keys. If we can get 4 interested - there is 4000 keys, preferably we can get 5, but there may be less. The aim will be to get as close to 5000 keys as possible to be sure, hence it may be necessary to bring over more than 1000 keys, depending on interest.



As mentioned above this may take a while, so you wil have a while to get your quota farmed up. Please post below if you are interested, making clear the time you think you will need to farm the keys and that are you are willing to transfer to Arathor. This isn`t strictly limited to 30-39 but anyone who is after the title/achievement and ALL reps.



Please don`t bother if you are not committed to this. I have no wish to waste my time farming up keys to find people saying they will only to discover they can`t afford the transfer or don`t have the time etc...



Please note you will need to farm Cenarion Expedition to Friendly and Cenarion Circle to Exalted yourself before you would transfer. If you can bring excess keys then I can maybe arrange to help you grind those on Arathor if necessary. I will arrange travel and we will arrange times to grind them by mutual consent of all in attendance.



Any other idea`s or propositions, please post these as well. Sorry for the wall of text.

Thanks for the heads-up Immahbon. Unfortunately that guild appears to be US and I`m EU, so it`s a no go there.
 
What is a good spot to farm keys? I dont have much time for wow atm. So, im running Hero Mana-Tomb once / day. Takes round about 20 min with an average of 5 keys.

Another q, do you hand in the keys in Netherstorm or is there another spot with better prisoner chance? Cause i think 4000 wouldnt be enough. I am at 8% free prisoner with a hand in of 190 keys. You can have 6 different prisoners.

Lets say 10% chance. 4000:10 = 400:6 = 66*500 = 33000 rep / faction. Thats only if you get the same amount of prisoners / faction.

As much as i know u can grind cenarius BC only till start friendly. So you need 39000 rep.

Just my 2 copper, tell me whats wrong.

This has already been completed by people so I am partially going on other peoples opinions. It seems around 4000 would be a conservative guess, hence I have said that I would prefer to amass nearer 5000 to be sure. I would have thought we would be unlucky not to make it with that amount.



I`m sure I can get people into a guild that will give the 10% rep bonus guild reward. So 39000/550 rep=71 Prisoners required. That amounts to 42000/550 rep=77 Prisoners required for the other factions. That should be doable with 5000 keys.



If someone is going to go to the time of grinding many keys and paying for a transfer and we don`t quite max all reps to exalted, I will grind the rest of the keys required to get everyone to max, personally. This I guarantee. I think 5000 will be more than sufficient, but if it isn`t no one will lose out anyway bar having to wait a little longer whilst I grind more keys.



Clearing all trash in Heroic MT it varies wildly, I can get anything from 1-5 keys. I seem to be averaging around 3-4 per run. It`s certainly going to take a while.



I have taken to putting a char with epic flying in Netherstorm to fly around and look for the Ethereum Jailor spawn. So I clear heroic MT trash then tab to my other account, fly around the spawn area for the Jailor and try to get a guaranteed one there then redo the trash run. Rinse and repeat. Seems to be the best way to get them. Or you can just fly round and kill all the mobs in the Jailor spawn area to get keys. I was getting up to 10 an hour just doing that, although it gets boring real fast.

Your problem is you. You can't sample an entire 42k rep out of 95 keys...The exact number of keys required is totally beside the point.

Yeah right, and you need an anthentificator, all blizzcon pets and the Portland Man Touching Champion trophy.

Who is this random numpty? Can we get a trace on IP and find out if it`s a 1st timer or someone established who is trolling? Is this allowed? If so please name and shame.
 
I dont get it, what do you bring to the table more than 1k keys (like everybody else gonna have to)?

What do I bring to the table? Well for a start it takes someone to get off their rear and organise it to begin. There could be a number of people out there farming keys who are thinking they are going to have to farm 4000 keys by themselves to get the job done?



This is mutually beneficial to all. It takes someone to start off and stand up and say "Hey, transfer to me I`ll sort everything just bring the keys and I will take care of the rest". How many other people in this bracket have posted the above so far? None.



I`m gauging interest, nothing is set in stone. Although I pointed out that I am not interested in time wasters. Grinding these keys is a large time investment, not everyone will be interested in undertaking it. I will bring as much keys as everyone else as a minimum. A promise and commitment I mentioned above to ensure everyone who can transfer, gets it. I will provide the organisation, the travel and the time to open them and grind them. Hell people could even tab out and cruise the internet whilst I`m killing, if they like. I can also provide possible help with grinding the pre rep or Cenarion Circle rep depending on what that persons circumstances are. I can also, most likely, provide all the guild perks for any transferees as well.



That`s more than anyone else has offered in the thread so far. But hey, if anyone can do the same or better I am more than willing to transfer with my 1000 keys to another server. Like I said nothing is set in stone.

I was just too lazy to make a topic like this before i went into 'hybernation' a few weeks ago ... didnt expect much reaction.



but anyway i've got around 200-300 keys already tucked away on my twink.

(and i already burned through 300 keys orso solo on my 39 hunter, check out my current TBC rep to see the result)

I got them mainly from running heroic manatombs (if you stealth past bosses you can reset for fun repeats)

And i've been buying em on 2 different realms both horde and alliance side since a lot of people have them rusting on their keychains! (just ask in trade chat for ppl to check ...)



If you have a guild with extra rep-gain perks it should take less keys but its always a good idea to overdo it instead of comming up short!



I'll start logging in again to farm my end of the 1k needed.



Tell me tho Mrdoob, have you considered Skyguard rep? Terrok is easily farmable now, all you need is time-lost scrolls and offerings and the patience to wait for respawns :)

I have been slowly grinding the keys the same way as you. I have slacked a little recently as there did not seem much interest in this bracket for doing it. But there is another along with yourself that seem interested now so we have 3, if we can find one more then I think we are set to go.



There is a lack of free ones available on my realm I have tried countless checks on the AH and spamming trade on both factions. I`ll be down to mainly farming them myself.



With regards to Skyguard rep, it is on the list of things to do. I have quite a bit still to do on the rep side of things but with the new patch I should make good ground with quite a few achieves as I have been putting in some behind-the-scenes work to be ready for it. Expect my achieve pts to jump quite a bit fairly soon ;)
 
I won`t be farming Skyguard rep yet either way. It all depends on who is getting keys and where. If you can find 3 on Draenor then I will happily transfer there for the purposes of getting the reps, but it will only be temporarily.



Someone will need to be available to grind us Skyguard rep though.
 
I have 2 accounts so i got that settled (only The Burning Crusade). And Im farming for 2k keys(farming 1k for a friend) and i got another friend who will bring 1k ~ keys. Not sure how many he have atm thought. But I would really pref if you stayed. If the help with achievements thats a problem i could gladly trade help :) I won't migrate my 85 druid until after a few weeks after 4.2 hits. But until then i could trad help you with my lvl 70 char. I'm currently leveling a Deathknight on Draenor. Tell me if you are interested in trade boosting and i will lvl him up to 85.
 
I've already farmed around 250 texts and i've about 10 offerings which i got from the AH so Skyguard rep shouldnt be that hard.

Since my twink already has full Skyguard rep i'd be more than willing to party with 4 twinks and whack Terrok and his 4 pets around for a while to grind rep :)



Droprate on the keys isnt too good for me atm so that's going slower ...



Arathor or Draenor is all the same to me, but as my twink will end up on Draenor in the end ...

Haha. It`s not a case of convincing. I have around 20 chars on Arathor on different accounts in different brackets, and different friends for each bracket. I can`t transfer craploads of toons to Draenor just to help support MMF. I could not "trade" help either, unless I could do it on Mymainfailed as I`m not transfering any 85`s over. I certainly don`t have time to level another to 80+ just for that purpose either.



I am more than happy to help others and contribute to get achievements, that does not bother me. The more activity the better. It`s gonna take me a while to finish grinding the 1000 keys though, very busy atm...
