enhancement shamans

so i was thinking hard about roling and enh shammy, i no a few of u have them tucked away in your backrelm and was wondering how they played? please dont just say they are awful, the damage seems ok ish and they have fair survivability and utility so can anyone give me an insight into gameplay? maybe a video would be nice :)
thanks all

Picture a rogue with less damage, who can't stealth, with a little more movement and a few heals. (but you get super-cool ghost wolf!)
Haven't played enhance too much because it just wasn't viable enough pre-5.3, (assuming it's more viable now)
Hope you get some valid help, Sorry I cannot be more... just figured I'd post something to give you an idea
>> rogue without stealth thing.

I think it would be a cool project to work on, and you can - if anything - always make it ele/resto if you don't particularly enjoy the gameplay.

Hey bro i can log on right now if you want and show you my enhance shaman - Goesid shaman is very well geared but only put up 500 damage in a Arena the the class is pretty nerfed atm.

I played one in 5.0.4, and I don't remember the details about them but from what I remember...
-Crappy damage, but non-hybrids will eventually die to you if you keep yourself healed (except maybe hunters)
-Water shield gives you unlimited mana if your being attacked, a luxury most non-int hybrids don't have
-Mobility isn't too bad with ghost wolf
-Maybe I'm remembering this wrong, but I'm pretty sure Stone Bulwark Totem is the superior talent because while it's up, you don't receive pushback while casting Healing Surge (remember enhance doesn't have the 70% pushback reduction)
-Better in groups obviously for purge

Edit: Didn't all shammy specs get mobile lightning bolt? Because if they did you could switch between meleeing and kiting with lightning bolt to avoid their superior dps

I have been playing enhance for 1 month+ now and I really enjoy it. It may not be the "wow 1-shot" spec but I do think the damage is decent and you got great support heals and purges.

Pros:
Great mobility
Support
Healing with watershield (I play with watershield 24/7)
PURGE (if I am on O I pretty much have the healer on focus and interuppting and spamming purge on the efc)
Dmg (sometimes you can crit 300+350 (lava lash and earth shock) but that is rare :/

Cons:
The dmg overall, I play enhance because it's a great support spec and not for the dmg :) but you can put put big numbers overall in wsg if you can spread flame shock on alot of people with flameshock+lava lash :D

Overall I think enhance is a viable spec, might not be great if you want big numbers, but the support and mobility is awesome and I really enjoy playing it. One fun thing with the spec is actually that so few people play it x)

Have fun playing a fun spec :)

Ooooor think of a rogue, then take the exact opposite except they're both melee.

If you like to rape shit play a hunter, if you like challenges and overcoming difficult situations with an under-played class play enhancement.

They are not the exact opposite at all...
Think of gameplay, not spellbooks.
> Kill things, Wind Shear == Kick
> Melee range

Apart from the obvious differences, not listing them all because we all know them, I think you're looking too deeply into it.
It was just to give him a basic idea, because after playing an objective-focused rogue and an Enh shaman, I can form a basic opinion on it.

(And no, I knew how to play a rogue if that's what you may bring up :p)

you should gear like neons enh

Cons
low damage
Oom quickly
Cant kill things solo
makes you cry because you thought it would be fun

Sorry to say but I think I've proven that I can kill things solo or 2v1 , I don't oom because enh have mental quickness which gives 40% chance to gain like 8 mana back in bg's from attacks also ik when to use water shield. As for enh damage its way better than ret.

Now for answering huckles questions about this project.
Enhancement shamans are now a really good melee class if u can play them well( fake cast, knowing when to use ur defensive skills-suggest u roll with totem talent-and overall a nice rotation to always keep the strong dmg in the face.)
Blizz has finally helped enh!!! we recently got 10% more sp from our attack power(which would make it easier to see to roll a more agility based set with the obvious crit pieces for horde or ally) and also we got 50% dmg to lava lash. Another wonderful adition that even though its not necessarily benefitial to enh is moving while casting bolt, in my full geared enh heres the link - Shamanpow @ Eldre'Thalas - Community - World of Warcraft - I can hit in pvp a good 150 lightning bolt due to the fact that in enh u have more spellpower than the other specs :D. In my opinion the only cons for enh are the ones u allow urself to have since the class is F******* awesome, playing well at enh will surley give a good time since it feels great to kill plp in a underpowered considered class.

Finally I mean who doesn't like a melee class that looks like they on steroids while in combat LOL!
Ennjoy and cya in the gulch! :)
