EU+US Engineering for level 1 - How was it done?

I've seen some level 1s with Engineering, and of course it's not possible to learn any more, and was never meant to be possible. I've heard it was trainable in WOTLK though with some kind of exploit or glitch, I have no clue on the specifics though.

Basically, if you know anything about how it was done, please share it here, or if posting about exploits is a bad idea, suggest the thread be taken down and PM me the info xoxo <3

I heard it was available for 1's to learn for like a week or two, then it got fixed.

That's just what I heard though, I honestly check everyday if I can learn fishing, or any other profession, or even try to change specs with a macro, because... it's Blizzard, you never know what they're gonna mess up for a day or two.

Thanks for the info. Would be awesome if somebody who actually has the profession trained could confirm though.

Had it on my lvl 1 rogue before I leveled him. ><. Don’t know if it was a bug or unintentional addition, but it was removed shortly after available.

It was the pre-patch right before Wrath I believe...level 1s could train every profession except for one...can't remember (probably blacksmithing). Lasted until the expansion went live. At that point in time, engineering was the only one that was useful (before spellthreads/etc.) so that's the one everyone kept. I had tailoring and leatherworking on one...but stupidly deleted that toon.

Right before Mists, they took away the ability to access the profession from your UI or through /cast ... but you can still use the engineering items. Right before Siege they took it off your professions list completely, but you still retain the ability to use items.

I'm not sure if you can train a profession to fill the two slots and still retain the ability to use...been too scared to try! As for use, you get Discombobulator Ray and Rough Dynamite/Copper Bomb on the same CD. AoE dmg, 90 dmg, or a slow...so not too bad.

@Chubtohd idk i still have mine?? not sure why tho

Thanks for the information friends. I really appreciate it. You're all legends.

oh now...that is weird....

now I'm curious to try learning a possible 3rd profession...
As crazy as it would be to have 3 professions, I dunno if it's worth the risk. I mean professions aren't really doing anything for us atm.
If you do it though... Let us know how it goes ;)
