Enchanting Rings

I was wondering if it's possible to level enchanting up to enchant your own rings and then unlearn enchanting and still be able to receive the enchant bonuses? Thanks for the help.

You lose all profession bonuses after dropping the said profession.

Well you need to be a minimum of level 50 to get Enchanting which allows you to get all the current Ring chants.

If the enchant says "Requires XXX Enchanting" then it would require you to keep Enchanting at that skill, but from what I can see on the Formula it just makes the ring bind to you and only you can chant it.

But I haven't seen a SS of a person with mousing over their chanted ring.

Requires enchanting to work.

If I remember correctly you must keep enchanting for it to work. Also if I remember correctly you need to farm rep with Sha'tar/Consortium/Keepers of Time/Lower City to honored or revered to get the formulas for the ring enchants since the ones from the trainer require you to have at least 400 enchanting to learn.

i have a enchanter and am curious how at 50 one would get all the current Ring chants? unless you are referring to the WOTLK ones?

I hate encouraging a Necro post, but I was not talking about WotLK at the time. Hence why I said 'currenty'. Stats +4 requires 375 Chanting, which means being level 50.

A Enchanting could get the final 3 current ring chants, but that requires level 65. So a level 69 twink could get the WotLK chants. But, any twink past 50 is pointless. That's when you hit DKs and start running into twinks who run Of The Outlands greens or Tier sets from Vanilla, in which case you might as well just roll a Pre-TBC character or play on a Pre-TBC. 49 is the end of good twinking.

how do you get the +4 stats to ring enchant at 50? have to be honored with LC......my enchanter had to wait till lvl-62 to turn in arakkoa feathers, only other option was sethekk halls, min lvl to go in is 55.

What you do is level to either 55 or any level until 59 and freeze your experience. You then have a level 80 or two run you through Sethek Halls or any other instance over there that gives Lower City rep until you get to your desired reputation level. That is the only way I know you can gain the rep without doing the quests. But in my opinion it is not worth it for all the effort to get +8 stats on both of your rings.

I haven't played in over a year and a half, but since I am not twinking at 50 I would get to 55 and then have people run me in Seth. Not to difficult to do, esp with EXP toggle.

You, sir, are retarded. On game nights there's MAYBE 1 DK on either side of the field. Sure maybe pre xp on/off switch dk's killed the bracket, since there were swarms of them playing ping pong with each other in midfield. But with xp-off, DK's are pretty scarce (and easily dealt with).

Your argument that D2 gear or Outlands gear is somehow outrageously OP is rediculous. The stamina buff from that gear makes being 2-shotted (a.k.a. 49s) impossible. There's a perfect balance of stamina, dps, and heals. This makes the 59 bracket the most balanced bracket in wow's current state.

Our games are extremely competitive and their's no faceroll class here.

The statement that 49 is the end of good twinking is ignorant and backwards.

Go easy on him Fez, the guy hasn't actually played the Live game much in a year and a half. Can't expect him to know what's going on on the live realms.

On the other side of that, Zuty, please refrain from offering opinions about things you're clearly... um, uninformed on. The rest of your post was informative, certainly, but as Fez commented, your opinion on 59's is.... incorrect.

49s are still the best lulz. more like vanilla than 59 is
