Just a few quick questions about elemental shaman viability in f2p

-Without frost shock how do f2p shamans do vs meele class
-How are they compared to boomkin dps
-Are they viable at all :p?

Thanks guys thinking about making me a panda shaman lol.
 
1. Pretty well, instant ghost wolf=kite all day
2. Really low in comparison
3. Yes, but mostly because of utility.
 
1. They thunderstorm them, kite them, and pwn them.
2. They don't have as much DPS output, but much much much better support and control

Elemental shamans are really useful to your team. A FC could be on roof with a Ele shaman to blast inc off. On offense, an ele shaman can spam purge efc's bubbles and HoTs. Don't even get me started on lolumbermill but sadly, it doesn't kill pandas.
 
ive gotten blown off LM maybe 3 times on all my characters, and this last time ony my warrior i was like OH SH*T OH SH*T the whole way down.. and then i realized i was going to land in the stream by BS and be just fine :D i was like F*CK YEA and rode back up to roflstomp the pesky shaman

As a shaman, I like it when people land in the water. It makes me wonder if I just made somebody's day. :)
 
ele shaman is actualy my favorite class to play right now.
I play like a healer but use my
shear
purge
thunderstorm
panda punch'
and engineering bombs all as interrupts to help my team take out those pesky ally healers.
also the damage isnt as crappy as youd think
 
Only slightly off topic but are enhance shammys viable? or are they just as sad as they were in cata? Id think they would have a bit more survivability in MOP but I cant say I have seen any geared enhance shammys around.

They are crap. Don't roll a enhancement shaman because right now it's their damage < Rejuvenation

Dude, they were awesome in Cata, just nobody played them. I have seen maybe 2 BiS enhancers in 1 year of playing - they were just more complicated than a hunter -> why would you roll one? Now in MoP, their dmg got nerfed too much (I previously critted 250+ on BIS-PALIES with Lava Lash on a non-BiS enhancer) now I crit maybe 150 so Jsu8's statement is true, which is so damn sad, cause I enjoyed playing them more than any other class - now I still play him for fun, but I have to rely on my teammates, which is not too easy in pugs...

This is the Shamy. I had this gear since before MoP came out...
 
What, efc? U got many hots and a priest is shielding you? So take this purge purge purge purge purge purge purge... Awwww yeah!!!!
 
If you still remember the name, you could get the shaman restored. :) I sort of regret deleting a level 20 hunter in July or August last year, I don't remember the name or server it was on. It never set foot in a BG and wasn't geared much, cause it was so boring, so I'm not regretting it too much, but generally with changes to the game a class you don't enjoy might become fun at a later date, so really not much point to deleting.

Anyway, I think Ele and Resto Shaman are great fun at the moment!
 
Enhancement actually has better healing than Ele, and is a slightly better purge/shear bot cause they don't cast to do dps, tho I guess TS and better dps make Ele the better shaman dps spec
