Dumb question about honor 50 bgs

kind of saw a couple of forums about av and epic bgs are bugged.

it made me think a bit, is the main reason why we have these problems is because that battle grounds like av that usually takes 40 people to play is blocked off from other?

the system takes into account of all battlegrounds for that particular character's level, (let's say 34), from small bgs like warsong to large ones like av into account that's divided from two different player bases.

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at. That said, my understanding is that currently those with honor level 50+ are removed from the regular que and placed into ques with only other 50+ honor lvl people. Likewise, theyre the only ones able to que the epic battleground system. It's my understanding this is a bit of legacy operation based on the original legion prestige pvp system that was scrapped early in legion. It's also my understanding that the split isnt supposed to happen at all and blizzard just accidently implimented it somehow but clearly doesn't have an easy solution to it (or just doesnt care, but id like to give them some credit).

The bug affects all BGs, it puts honor level 50+ people into their own BGs. There just aren't enough 50+ people queueing to even get a 10 man BG to pop.

I think the text on the button is just wrong on the epic BG queue and it has a higher character level requirement higher than 20. It's definitely not honor level (I'm at 42 and can't queue them).

Pretty much everyone who queues BGs just uses the random BG button, and to get AV you need to queue it specifically at low levels. Just about no one will actually do that, so it'll probably never pop if you queue for it.

I think this is what I'm guessing the bug is about tbh.

you have a robot looking for people at your level in checking three different ideal areas. one in what level gap (0-9) your in, the other is if your X<49/X>49, and what available battlegrounds you have.

I might be incorrect about it, i'm just throwing out my two cents trying to see what could be the matter.

So you're relating split bgs with bracket activity and also Honor level. Queues have always been reliant on the live population, the people queuing for them, meaning if you have 50 players alli and 50 horde, they queue for AB and AV, and get AB in the beginning. The other 35 from both sides cannot get AV. I don't see it being related to the honor system though.
The honor system has a current bug (I've heard), that if your honor level is 50+, you're put in a queue with other level 50+ people. Haven't experienced it myself though, but it seems a bit cooler that way, separating players with experience and those without. The other problem to that would be if Starter Editions wouldn't be able to get past Honor Level 1, if that would be the case, its better off fixing the level 50+ "bug".
