Downloading LoL... who should I try?

I've just played a few games of hon, come on here and decided to give lol a try.

Who is an easy-ish hero who is still fun?

Among the free to play characters this week, Kayle and Ryze are good beginner choices.



But if you want to see info on each champion, just click on the More Info button inside the bottom right corner of each champion's portrait. Riot gives an indicator of how difficult each champion is, lists all their abilities, and even gives some tips when playing as or against that champion. I'd definitely recommend trying a champion that is considered easy first so you can get a handle on game mechanics and what not.

Ashe is probably the best beginner choice. Everything Painaid said is a good tip I guess if your into reading posts by him........ Kayle if free this week would be a great champ to start out on. She is cheap to buy and is a tier one champ at "end game". So those who play her right can play with the best.

Well i just finished my first game, I've got to say, the graphics look like something from a gameboy advance compared to hon =/. I played pantheon, because I forgot to check here , and I thought he was quite fun. I did alright i guess, 2 and 6, we won . What should I be spending my IP points on.... runes?

Try not to spend any IP until level 21, you'll want to save for your tier 3 runes that only become available for you to use at that level, two sheets full of runes depending on what runes you buy may end up costing you around 25-35k. Once you've tried out a number of heroes and you feel comfortable playing a specific one you could buy one or maybe two champions but again you'll want to try to horde as much IP until level 21.

buy soem riot points to buy champs and save all your ip for runes once you hit 21

actually, you can get tier 3 runes at level 20. So don't spend a single IP till you hit 20.

It used to be 21 (said 20+ but it was bugged), I know 21 was the requirement sounds like they finally fixed it so now 20 is the new magic number?

Actually it looks like the bug still persists for some, you can try closing out your client once you hit 20 and see if you can buy tier 3 runes then, but for others you may need to wait till 21. Here is a post from seven days ago:

I've always just assumed it was 21 having first hand exp. leveling two seperate 30s and from others I've talked with they have had to wait till 21 to buy tier 3 runes, but closing the game and starting up again may do the trick if you can't buy right away at 20. Pretty sure I tried this when hitting 20 and didn't work, figured it was like buying new champions or something, it's very possible however that this is all related to some server issues that happen as they do happen often maybe that is why so many are affected.

I guess I caught the game at a buggy time since I have 3 t3 runes that I was able to buy at lvl1 I've been using them still I'm lvl 12 screenshots Inc when I get home
