DMF Quest Items

Dcm

idc
I've ran BFD once and I saw the Monstrous Egg and Imbued Crystal (obviously lost them) but after running it multiple times afterwards, they haven't dropped. I've also tried DM/Stockades for the Ornate Weapon and WC for the egg again but still nothing.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I've also made sure I had the journal in my bags. Any insight would be helpful, thanks.

Because RnG is RnG.

If you will scroll down to Aku'mai you will see it has only a 1.2% chance of dropping.

As long as you have the adventure's Journal, there is nothing you can do other than:

Hold a four leaf clover

Throw Salt over your shoulder.

Etc etc.

to get Ornate weapon its better to run stockade, since it drop from first boss

The egg drop from WC murlock boss and Crystal did drop from BFD for me

if u have the adventurer journal in your bags, then i don't see any problems. Maybe just unlucky

So it actually does have a chance of not dropping? I never knew that, I thought that the drop % on wowhead was so low because you needed an item (that not everyone really cares to have) to see it. I'll keep trying I guess. Thanks a bunch.

Do dmf runs a few weeks before dmf starts - you wont get outrolled as no one (apart from other twinks/very slow levellers) has the journal

misguidance. that's 1.2% including everyone who doesn't have the darkmoon book in their bag. The drop rate is way higher than that.

OP, here's what you do every month. -> Two of the drops are easy-easy to get, the last two take some time. Go for the first two, then if you have time, go for the second two.

Queue specifically for stockades and Wailing Caverns. If its Stocks, do the whole thing, but avoid the fire boss if you can as avoiding it obviously saves time. If its WC, go straight to Lady Anacondra. Once you kill her, drop out of the dungeon. For whatever reason, I've never got that penalty debuff after dropping at this point (not sure why).

Not sure what your spec is, but as a tank, that's 10 minutes for shots at both of those items. (non-tanks obviously take longer as their queue times are longer)

Once you get those two, then its time to start farming the two that take more time as you have to run all the way through SFK and BFD. Depending on the group, BFD can take forever...especially if you're a Druid tank and no one wants to deal with your agro problems.

Thanks guys, and I forgot that they dropped even when DMF wasn't going on.

if you kill a boss you can leave without getting deserter.
